Huntington Beach State Park Campground Reviews
This was by far the best state park we’ve been too. Lots of alligators, birds, and crabs for the nature lovers. The beach wasn’t crowded at all. The bath houses were very clean as well. My 6 y/o boy loved the beach and the alligators. We’ll definitely be back as we didn’t get to do everything in the park that we wanted to do. This was the first time I’ve seen a painted Bunting and was able to get some pics of it as well. Very cool place to camp at.
Jun 04, 2025 · Defense TrainingHard to top this one. The sister State Park campground on the coast to the Myrtle Beach SP 15 miles apart, the HBSP campground is far more spacious and airy, with much more to explore inside the park. The north campground is the original one with only a handful full hookups, and the south loop is the newer one with all fullhookup and 50amp services. Both are excellent but many including us prefer the original one. 5 min walk from our site to the beach, and one would find a wide pristine long long stretch of beach from morrell inlet all the way down and more. Scantly a few visitors here and beach goers here and there, mostly folks who camp here and a few days trippers. Completely different than Myrtle. And there is no board walk or fishing pier hereThe campground is clean and did I mention spacious, making maneuvering trailers RVs much easier. Campstore is a bit far away but manageable. It is, however, much more expensive than all other state operated campgrounds, on par with privately owned properties. But the location makes it well worth it
Apr 11, 2025 · Jerome MoBeach , birds, and biking. The birds were amazing. I think it’s turned me into a birder. Beach is quiet and beautiful. We camped in the south campground which has concrete pads and full service. It is super close to the beach access (1/8 mile). Lots of Biking trails lots of alligators and they were active! Listen to the video; they can roar! Who knew.
Apr 19, 2025 · Misty CarterThe campground is wonderful. The internet seems far fetched but the grounds and layout are great and it’s just simply a beautiful area! Would highly recommend!
Jun 30, 2025 · Lynn YuhasThis is one of our favorite state parks. Quiet. Beachfront. Nice gift shop. Ice cream store. Activities. Events. Local restaurants within 5 miles that you can walk or bike to.
