Hunter's RV Run Park Reviews
This is my favorite time to come to what is now Hunter's Run. I've been coming for years and since the name change and new owners I actually like it a lot more. The staff is friendly and there are a lot less rules. Don't get me wrong rules are good and now there seems to be a good balance. I don't want to go to far into the past but previous owners used to drive around in golf carts yelling at people about mondain happenings in their spots...This time of year is great because school hasn't let out and there are few people visiting and makes you feel like you have the "resort" to yourself. We did go for a quick swim. I understand that the pool isn't heated this year but it was nice during the 2 hot days during our stay.We love using the free kayak rentals. And the park looks more maintained then it has in years. Looking forward to our next visit. This is a great hidden gem don't over look!
Jun 09, 2025 · The Midlife TravelersJust rolled in for this season. The new sign looks nice. I am glad it was updated. Went to the front desk to check in and swap out cards, etc. Kim and her husband were manning the front and always a pleasure. The hot tub is not running but I knew last year they would be remodeling. I am looking forward to seeing the new look. Looking forward to a fun season! I want to thank Katie the GM for always being transparent and keeping us in the loop.
Jun 01, 2025 · Amy GagnonFor those of you that have been coming for years. The pool is no longer heated and is too cold to swim in. Hot tub is broken and unusable. We come here to use the indoors since it is early in the year. They are planning on tearing down the building and putting in an outdoor pool. Sites are large but not taken care of. Large branches everywhere and fire pit not cleaned out. Had to clean the site to make it usable. No one on site for emergencies. Front desk person was rude and condescending. My 20 year tradition has just come to an end. Will not recommend again. No longer worth the money.
May 25, 2025 · Jill WitozenOk, here is the story. I've been camping at this camping when I was young with my parents... And now, I've been bringing my kids for 13 years... Visited once or twice a year, never less than 3 nights. To be honnest, this camping is about 1 hour more than our "usual driving circle" for 3 nights trip. We've seen many owners over the years... We always loved this place, the main reason : heated interior pool. Why the 1/5 star ? Don't get me wrong, the staff is super nice, they go above what they are supposed to do (like offering to open the store when it's closed - The hours are so ridiculusly reduced), the site are amaizing and it is so quiet, perfect to relax... Now, spring 2024, we are there, and we learn that the spa is broken during our stay (ok, it happens...) but we had decent water temp in the pool... In fall 2024, we are back again, the spa has a cover, appently they cannot get the part to fix it... Now spring 2025, spa not worling and the pool is defenitivly in the 60's - so - no more swimming... Apparently the part is arrived but they did not had time to fix it ! (oh so convenient story - My 26 years of teaching lie radar tell me that we have a "my dog hate my homework" lie in front of me...) Falll 2025 might be our last one ! We go again (reservation is made) and we are offering a "last chance" trip... I hope my lie radar was wrong and the pool is back in working order !BTW, I NEVER saw so many empty spots ! A good part of the permanent resident have left and we were like only 8 "travelers" during the full week-end... That tells a lot about a crashing campground ! Seen that before and those campground are now closed !
Jun 08, 2025 · Club Train Directwe have frequented now Hunter’s run previously Clearwater for many years. This past year I absolutely have no complaints. The staff both office manager and maintenance have been nothing but helpful. They are friendly, considerate, and willing to help anyone. They are professional and courteous.
