This RV park is super! The guys are constantly working it, improving the place and are very friendly... you can tell they are passionate about what they do. The pool has to be the nicest around. The stream is amazing. My mom, kid and I had a blast. We can't wait to return!
Jun 28, 2025 · Amber AbbottGreat visit. Clean, friendly, 4 minutes from Durango and yet out in the woods on a country road. Lots of trees, by a creek, quiet. Staff didn't pile campers up next to each other, spaced everyone apart. Very peaceful. Nice dog park, big, grassy, trees. If we go that way again, will definitely stay there.
May 19, 2025 · Leslie SmithNot sure who thinks these are well spaced sites but when your neighbors sewer pipe is draining by your picnic table I call that crowded. My water and electric hookup was by my neighbors awning rug. I had to excuse myself as I walked onto their campsite to hookup my water and electric. They advertise clean restrooms but when there they advertise new plumbing coming and have to search for hot water in a 32"x32" shower stall. There are don't do this and don't do that signs everywhere on top of wanting vaccination records for pets. I have traveled all over this country and never have had a campground ask for vaccination records. My vet has recommended that my dog at 14 years old no longer get vaccinated due to his age. I have also stayed in COE/State campgrounds at half to fourth the cost of this place and had better facilities. They like to put themselves off as a resort and are far from it. You barely have room to park your truck at your site. We stayed here because my son and grandchildren live 1 mile down the road. If they came to visit us they wanted an additional $10 per person per day for a use fee. It is a corporate campground not a family owned campground.
Jun 19, 2025 · Chuck HaverVery convenient to Durango. Quiet. We were here on opening day for camping. Electric only at campsite due to weather. They do have a dump and water fill station available. Bath house wasn't open yet due to cold weather still. Gravel sites by creek looked level side to side. Paved ones off a little. Overall a nice camping experience. Staff was great and friendly.
May 04, 2025 · Tim GordonThis review primarily applies to the water/electric sites 4-8. There is no shade, sites are right on top of each other, staining dirt with no vegetation in most of the small space outside our trailer, which would be a muddy mess during rain and new gravel is needed on the driveways. The campground has so much potential as it sits in a beautiful canyon with a bubbling stream running right behind our trailer and so convenient to Durango. HTR has had three plus years to improve this campground but has done very little to improve these sites except to double the price! Signs in the restrooms ask campers to be patient while plumbing upgrades are coming but when? The men's shower in the lower facility is dangerous, especially for kids. It goes from freezing to scalding to freezing during the shower without touching the dial. The laundry was great and Jay was very helpful at check-in, but they are very short staffed. The entire campground is cramped but the other sites do have shade.
