Horseman's Campground Reviews
Great place for trail riding and primitive camping with horses.at the Horse campground. Hikers and bike trails can be acessed via this location as well. Trail maintenance by the DNR leaves much to be desired, so be prepared for navigating some natural obstacles. ...but never less OPSF offers natural beauty galore, breathtaking stone cliffs, waterfalls, creek crossings, scenic vistas and plenty of hills, that get you and your horses in shape. Clay soil tends to be on the muddy side - not the place to be after lots of rain. For equestrians there are three trails: blue ( aprox 8 miles), red and orange ( 3 - 4 mi each) . There is a water trough at the campground for the horses but I recommend to bring your own water if you plan to camp here.
