- Tent Campsites: The primary offering is diverse tent campsites. Reviewers note a variety of options, from sites closer to "the electrical thingy" (suggesting some limited power access, though guests should confirm specifics and bring adapters if needed) to more secluded spots requiring a short walk. This caters to different preferences for proximity to power and privacy.
- Fire Pits: Essential for the camping experience, fire pits are provided, allowing guests to enjoy campfires (assuming local fire regulations permit). Reviewers specifically mention Jeremiah ensuring they had a fire pit.

- Guidance for Needs: The owner is proactive in suggesting practical preparations, such as bringing extra water for rinsing hands or dishes, which indicates a thoughtful approach to primitive-style camping.

This is some great off the beaten path Indiana camping. ⛺
Apr 09, 2024 · Mary KateCamping here was such a great experience!!My boyfriend and I drove 8 hours from Wisconsin for the solar eclipse and we are so happy we did and happy we found Hooterhills! it was more than worth it.Jeremiah was very helpful and hospitable. We spoke on the phone twice before the trip and he was helpful with giving me a decent idea of what the property and campsites were like and what to expect. There are multiple campsites that aren’t too far away from the electrical thingy, then there are a variety of campsites that are a little further of a walk, but not too far. We made camp just up the first hill you see on the property where we could drive up and park. It’s a very beautiful place and has very calming and peaceful energy all around it. The campsites are easy to settle into. It’s always advisable to research weather conditions before any camping trip and we were pretty lucky with decent weather but speaking with Jeremiah on the phone was helpful too.(I have AT&T for service and never had reception out there but my partner has Verizon and got a little reception but if you go just a mile either way, you should find some bars.)*Went out to eat at Green Hill dinner in town, very good scratch kitchen.Oh, one thing I would say which I planned on already, is to bring extra water and maybe a 5 gallon bucket of water just to have for rinsing hands or maybe rinsing dishes. I’m glad I spoke with Jeremiah before leaving for the weekend, he told me there was some rain earlier in the week so I knew what to expect. This being somewhere I’ve never been to and also out of state for me, with only 3 reviews at the time I could find, I admit I was a little weary at first with me being a an avid horror-movie and true-crime fan (LOL) but I had good feelings about the place and Jeremiah answered the phone every time I called with questions. He and his family that we briefly met are genuine, kind people.I will most likely come back someday, especially if I’m traveling south. If I was more local/closer in location, I would come here more frequently for the peaceful nature and relaxation.
