Homestead RV Community Introduce
For residents of Texas, particularly those in the sprawling Dallas-Fort Worth (DFW) Metroplex area, the **Homestead RV Community** in Weatherford offers a dedicated and accessible destination for RV camping and extended stays. Positioned as both a campground and a long-term **RV park**, this facility is tailored to provide a well-managed, quiet, and amenity-rich experience just a short drive from the conveniences of Weatherford. It serves as an appealing base for local Texans looking for a peaceful retreat after a day of exploring Parker County or simply needing a reliable, full-service place to settle in.
The "Community" aspect of the name is important, as the facility fosters a sense of belonging and friendly interaction among guests, with staff often living on-site to assist. The overall impression is one of a clean, modern, and immaculately maintained RV resort, highly valued by many local visitors for its aesthetic and tranquility. The provided information highlights several key features that appeal to the modern Texas camper, including excellent **accessibility** features and the acceptance of **credit and debit cards** for payment. The park welcomes **dogs**, allowing Texas residents to travel with their entire family.
However, potential guests should be aware that customer feedback indicates the park's appeal may lean more towards adult travelers seeking peace rather than young families. Reviews note a very limited amount of space for younger children to actively play, and some guests have observed issues with grounds maintenance, such as clay/dirt pads and fire ant presence. The tranquility and immaculate common areas, however, are frequently praised, making it a strong choice for those prioritizing cleanliness and quiet.
The Homestead RV Community is located at **3052 Tin Top Rd, Weatherford, TX 76087, USA**. Weatherford is known as the "Cutting Horse Capital of the World" and sits just west of Fort Worth, making this campground highly accessible for Texas residents traveling from the DFW area and other parts of the state via Interstate 20.
A major advantage of this location is the balance between peaceful seclusion and convenience: the campground is reported to be only about **10 minutes from the main part of Weatherford**. This proximity means easy access to local dining, shopping, historical sites, and essential services without having to endure the noise of staying right in town. The campground itself is committed to **accessibility**, offering a **wheelchair accessible entrance**, **parking lot**, **restroom**, and **seating**, which is a significant feature for many Texans who require these accommodations. Guests also benefit from dedicated **on-site parking**.
As a dedicated RV park, Homestead RV Community provides comprehensive services tailored to both short-term stays and long-term residency. These services focus on comfort, cleanliness, and utility:
- RV Camping: Designated sites for **RV camping** with ample space for slide-outs and vehicle parking.
- Full Hookups: Sites offer essential utilities, including **RV water hookup**, and it is expected that electric and sewer hookups are also standard for full-service RV sites.
- Sparkling Clean Facilities: The **public restroom** and **public shower** facilities, as well as the **laundry room**, are frequently described in reviews as "sparkly clean" and "trendy."
- Utility Access: Availability of **running water** and **restrooms** throughout the facility.
- Connectivity: Guests are provided with **Wi-Fi** access, crucial for modern connectivity needs.
- Payment Options: The park accepts **Credit cards** and **Debit cards**, offering flexibility for the camping fee.
- On-Site Management: Staff, including sweet and genuine people like La Ronda and Jessica mentioned in reviews, often live on-site, enhancing service and community feel.
Homestead RV Community is highlighted by its aesthetic appeal, tranquility, and practical features that make for a pleasant stay:
- Immaculate Grounds and Pool: The park’s grounds and pool are described as "immaculate" and "breathtaking," suggesting a focus on visual appeal and cleanliness in common areas.
- High Level of Accessibility: A standout feature is the commitment to **wheelchair accessibility**, including the entrance, parking, restrooms, and seating.
- Quiet, Tranquil Environment: The facility is lauded for being quiet and peaceful, with gravel used for walking areas which minimizes noise and provides a clean path.
- Dog-Friendly (with Caveats): The park welcomes **Dogs allowed** and features a dog wash station, though the actual dog park size and condition have been noted as less than spacious and in need of maintenance.
- Adult-Focused Atmosphere: It is important to highlight that local feedback suggests the environment is best suited for adults and full-time residents, not younger children due to a lack of dedicated play space.
- Proximity to Town: Campers are a convenient 10-minute drive from Weatherford, providing easy access to dining, shopping, and entertainment.
- Community Kindness: Guests frequently comment on the "sweetest most genuine people" among the staff and residents, fostering a welcoming atmosphere.

The Homestead RV Community is worth choosing for the Texas resident, particularly those in the DFW area, seeking a **highly accessible, tranquil, and immaculately clean RV park** for an adult-focused getaway or a reliable extended stay. Its greatest strengths are the **sparkling clean, trendy amenities** (restrooms, showers, pool) and the **dedicated accessibility features**, which few RV parks in the region match.

★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1If you have kids, they will be extremely bored here. There’s a pool yes, but very little space for the younger ones to actually run and play. Even some of the people who live there full time told us it is not a kid friendly place at all. There are fire ants everywhere! We have a major allergy and we were treating the ant piles ourselves. Our space that is advertised as “grassy” was not that at all. Our trailer was a huge mess the whole time. The clay is still caked on our shoes and trailer steps. The dog park is not spacious, as it says online. It is dirt, clay, wood chips, and weeds. People do not pick up after their animals in their either. My dogs were stepping in other piles of poop. The dog wash station was a good idea, but it was only cold water, and turned off when you make it warm. The only positive, is you’re about 10 minutes from town and there is plenty to do there. We were over it by the third day. We paid almost $400 to stay for a week, otherwise we would’ve left. It was a short notice booking, but I’ll be doing better research next time.
May 05 · Megan YoungborgWe visited this RV community for the weekend and had the best experience, which started with my first call to make reservations. The day we were arriving I received a text message with all the details. Upon arriving just pulling in the RV resort was breathtaking. The restroom/showers and laundry room are sparkly clean and so trendy. The pool and the grounds are immaculate! With the community's kindness and just walking up to check out all the amenities, you are greeted with the sweetest most genuine people. There is gravel to walk through the park and it is so quiet. I love that there is staff living there in case you need something.Thank you LaFonda for all the information and sweet Jessica making us feel like a part of their community. We had such a memorable time!
September 16 · Tiffany PendleyProfessional, Super Friendly and Helpful staff. My wife and stayed here for approximately 2-1/2 weeks 5 months ago. This resort is excellent for overnight or long-term stays.Clean, cool swimming pool, laundry room is always clean and has efficient machines. We had been traveling from Ohio to Virginia and on our way to California. This resort is one of the best RV sites we have stayed at and we stayed at many in our 3 months of traveling. We look forward to staying here again.
May 13 · Armando ParraI can’t say enough good things about this RV community! From the moment I arrived, I felt welcomed and right at home. The staff is incredibly friendly and helpful — always going out of their way to make sure everything runs smoothly. The residents are just as amazing; it’s rare to find a place where people genuinely care about one another like they do here. The community is not only warm and inviting but also very safe, which gave me real peace of mind. The sense of community is strong, and it truly feels like a second family. If you’re looking for a peaceful, well-kept, safe, and supportive environment, this is the place to be!
June 01 · Jose BanuelosThe park is not what it is advertised. The pads are not graded correctly. The electric petals are not located in the middle of the pad side, so you have to have an extension cord for the electrical and extra water and sewer hoses. The dog park is full of thick weedy plants that make it hard to pick up dog poop. There are different rules for different guest. The washers and dryers are $3 for a normal load. The machines are not anything more than what you can get from a normal machine. The manager does not understand Federal Housing laws pertaining to Emotional Support Animals and charged me for my ESA ANIMAL.
