Homestead Campground Reviews
TV's blaring ALL NIGHT, people yelling and fighting and getting drunk all night long. I've camped all over the place and this is really just a trailer park. We couldn't sleep because the drunk guy next to us kept coming over and going through our things. We took a walk and came back to him blatantly going through our camp site. He said he was there for 8 months bc "he lost his house, vehicle was broken, and his wife and teenage kids were on disability with a grandkid on the way." They continued to be a nuisance and downright unwelcomed guests. Even after my husband told them not to come over, they continued to come over and borrow firewood, ice, and anything they saw we had. This place was uncomfortable to say the least. We saw men urinating outside, men drinking in their underwear letting EVERYTHING hang out with kids running around! Witnessed domestic violence several times, and this was a week day!! We packed and left before scheduled.
Jun 14, 2025 · Sadi PiperBeen going here since I was baby. It has always been fun. People are so friendly and you can make lots of friends. There are also things to keep you company.
Apr 29, 2025 · Aiyanna MorrisWe have been to this campground 2x with a camping group - we will be returning for the 3rd time this coming June. The office staff is amazing and Brian is so easy to work with when it comes to planning for our group of 8 to 10 sites. Have no plans to move this annual trip anywhere else!
Feb 26, 2025 · Thomas ReumontWe just ended our first ever camping trip as a family of 4 at Homestead Campground. We found this place on recommendation of a good friend who stays there as well. We loved it! Everything about this campground was perfect. The staff were super friendly, the area was peaceful and the sites were great. We loved the splash pad for our kiddos on a super hot day. My husband and I hung out in a shaded are under a tree where we could easily keep and eye on the kids. They also have two pools(we didn’t get to them) Everyone that we came in contact with were kind and welcoming. It was a great distance from the beach (Lewes beach about 20ish min). There is a dollar general right up the street too which was really nice when we needed something if the store wasn’t open. We got daily texts about fun events going on or activities at the campground. I would definitely recommend and will definitely go back!
Jun 25, 2024 · Whitney LeppoThis place is horrible. No rules. Drunks everywhere, loud and obnoxious parties still going at 3am. It's NOT a place for families, and we won't be back.
