May 31, 2025 · Justin GerbrechtThe owners were friendly but I'm surprised reviews were mostly positive about the bath house. It's unheated and open to the outside so when a breeze comes through, you're shivering. The water didn't get hot and the shower head sprayed a fine mist, which made it feel even colder. The bathroom was pretty clean except for the ants but there was no soap to be found.
Apr 17, 2025 · MadisonGreat location. Close to Chimney Rock and Lake Lure. Had an Ingles very close by. We stayed during the week so we had the whole place pretty much to ourselves, which was nice. Very quiet! The Camp host was incredibly nice. He made sure everything was good without being obtrusive about it. We had full hook up so we didn’t use the bath house but it looked like it had a washer and dryer in it?. Pretty walking trail to a water fall, little creek that went through which the dog and kids loved. Little catch and release fishing pond was nice too. The only thing is that the kids play ground needs some TLC/ work. The slide (plastic) was bent and broken making it unusable- some of the wood on the play center is starting to rot. Other than the play area which if you don’t have kids, won’t matter. Everyone was very friendly and I would come back to stay again the next time we go to Lakelure/Chimney rock.
Jul 12, 2024 · Kimberly FarrierWe recently stayed here and despite the rainy weather our stay was wonderful. The campground itself was quiet and serene with a cute stream running down the middle. It’s nestled in a quiet spot in the mountains; the perfect distance from lake lure and chimney rock. Bathrooms were neat and clean, and the showers were nice and hot. Wagz and his cat Momo were excellent hosts, and the other staff were also very nice and friendly. Overall it was a great place to stake our tent down and we hope to visit again in the future!!
Jul 27, 2024 · Bella LoganThis is the best camping spot! Everyone was so nice and welcoming. We felt extremely safe! The bath house was clean and the surroundings are gorgeous. We've never had such a fun time. The pond fishing was so nice. The frogs and crickets are all you can hear at bedtime. No one was loud or rude in anyway. We will be back every chance we get!
