★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1Hey, so we took the kids to Mt. Charleston for a quick camping trip from North Las Vegas – about 45 minutes away. We found this cool spot, Hilltop, last year; it's got a toilet but no sink, but the views are amazing and it's so much cooler than the city. We grilled out and slept in our rooftop tent, but it got down to 49 degrees in June, so we left before sunrise. We'll definitely go back!
June 04 · El Chino TacosGreat place for camping. Some sites are very nice and secluded. Bathrooms are very accessible throughout the campgrounds. Stunning views during the day and incredible at night. Can see the city light depending on the site you pick. Has cell reception most parts.
May 28 · BaobaoNice affordable spot. Has grill, fire pit and picnic table. Close to hiking trails and offers some great views. Restrooms available. Trash bins nearby. No cell phone coverage so download the map and anything else you need in advance. Come with a full tank of gas too. No service stations nearby.
May 27 · Brian PoffenbergerBBQ and camping with beautiful views... don't expect having cellular service here.. you might get lucky... so if you bring kids, have some other entertainment ready for them...
July 02 · Qin ZhangBeautiful area, amazing views from our campsite. The concrete pad under the picnic table presented a unique challenge for securing our dining canopy, but nothing a good bit of Paracord couldn't fix. Very quiet aside from one camper that loudly played one song on repeat long into the night, which park staff never addressed. Aside from that, great experience!
