Given Hickory Ridge Family Campground's transition to a predominantly seasonal model, specific "promotions" for nightly or weekly stays may become less common or cease to be offered as extensively as in previous years. The primary "offer" now is the opportunity to secure a seasonal site and become part of a long-term camping community.
For those interested in seasonal camping, it's essential to contact the campground directly to inquire about availability, seasonal rates, and the process for securing a long-term spot. Reviews from past non-seasonal campers express sadness about this transition, indicating that the demand for seasonal sites is likely high. For any short-term availability that might still exist (e.g., due to last-minute cancellations, as one review mentioned), it would be purely based on chance. It is always recommended to check their official website or call them for the most up-to-date information on availability and pricing, especially if you are hoping for a non-seasonal stay. Any potential discounts for affiliations like Good Sam Club or for military/first responders would typically be detailed on their booking platform if still applicable to their evolving model.
For inquiries, seasonal site availability, or any other questions regarding Hickory Ridge Family Campground, you can reach them through the following contact details:
Address: 584 Victory Hwy, Coventry, RI 02827, USA
Phone: (401) 397-7474
Mobile Phone: +1 401-397-7474
It is highly recommended to call ahead, especially given their transition to primarily seasonal occupancy, to confirm availability and discuss your specific camping needs. While a website is typically associated with such businesses, direct phone contact is often the most effective way to get the most current information for campgrounds, particularly smaller, family-owned operations.
For Rhode Islanders, Hickory Ridge Family Campground in Coventry offers a truly unique and highly suitable option, especially for those looking to establish a long-term connection with an outdoor community. Its recent transition to primarily seasonal sites, while a shift, solidifies its appeal for local residents who desire a consistent, familiar "home away from home" throughout the warmer months.
As locals, we appreciate convenience and value, and Hickory Ridge delivers. Its accessible location in Coventry means a peaceful escape is just a short drive away, eliminating the hassle of long-distance travel. The consistent praise for its cleanliness, quiet atmosphere, and the exceptional warmth of its owners and management creates a truly welcoming environment that fosters a sense of belonging. Hickory Ridge Family Campground Reviews
Lovely place to live and vacation! I’ve resided here for nearly 2 years and absolutely love it here! The guests are friendly and polite; the owners and management are wonderful and caring. 100% recommend!
May 01, 2025 · Anthony Pimental-CoffuaWe loved our stay at this campground. The owner was extremely accommodating, the camp was clean and quiet. The pool was a very welcome treat as the temperature kept going up! We were saddened to hear that this is the last year for non-seasonal campers. When we are ready, we hope there will still be a spot for us to take that leap!
Jun 25, 2024 · Renee MoodyThis is my first camper and first season at Hickory Ridge. The grounds are clean and well kept. It’s very peaceful. Joe could not be more helpful! I’m glad I picked here for my first time camping.
May 04, 2021 · Daniel DindyThis place is a mud pit. New owner is lost. Made reservations in January had reservation for a premium site arriving on a Saturday. Owner only works Min- Fri no late check in no nothing. Found a phone number for Tiny called him 30-45 mins later he shows up tried to put me in a 30 amp site. Finally found 1 pad with 50 amp drop. My wheels sank 8” in the soft stuff. After fighting to get into this one and only site Tiny offered to add some rock to firm up the pad Finally got my rig into the pad so very tight nearly couldn’t get into the pad. Almost took my ladder off getting out the gate. I would advise any camper to run the other way if you are considering staying at this place. Many campers are there appears they spend a great deal of their time in nothing the sun come up and the sun go down from the chairs under their awnings. I had a brief conversation with the lady that owns this place her excuse was I just bought this place. Told her she needs to add gravel to her pads and upgrade the electrical connections to 30-50 amps just to start.
