Hiawassee KOA Holiday Reviews
Amazing vacation because of the excellent service and welcome of the staff. The sites with creek access are perfect. Keep in mind you are close to your neighbor but so worth the rushing sound of the creek while sitting under the shade tree. We were in site 49. From the moment we checked in we felt welcomed and they even had an escort to the site. No stress! They were quick to resolve an ant mound during our stay. They pick up your trash each morning which is a nice benefit! Thank you again for going above and beyond expectations!! We have been on cruises and stayed in hotels and it’s been a very long time to see staff that love what they do and love the customers! Thank you!
Jun 22, 2025 · Meredith BridgerSuper clean cabins, friendly check in staff, nice sized pool, putt putt and pretty ponds. Huge campground and the road through the middle of it is a little busy so watch your dogs and kids. Beautiful drive into the campground, lots of deer. Also very close to Hiawassee. Nearby brewery has amazing food and beer. No activities were happening at the KOA while we were there which was a little disappointing. But really a wonderful stay.
Jun 22, 2025 · Consuelo LoftisWe threw together a wedding ceremony here and the gazebo was the perfect place for our small ceremony. The cabin we stayed in was so awesome, so much storage and my son loved the loft part. We were right next to the creek which was so peaceful. So many amenities even had a grill. There is so much to do as well. Paddleboats, game room, fishing a jumpy thing and gorgeous views!
May 06, 2025 · Nicole MillerVery nice campground it’s the largest KOA we’ve ever been too very spacious plenty of room to navigate to campsites. They have full hook ups and fantastic Wi-Fi. Good enough to stream tv. Surrounded on three sides by mountains nice quiet, secluded area. Close to Helen, Georgia close to the highest point in Georgia plenty of stuff to do or it’s a nice quiet place just to get away from it all. Very friendly and helpful staff. Clean bathrooms and showers.
Jun 28, 2025 · Daniel Hinds SrHas a great time. It was different from what we expected. The website leaves you to beleive it is much more intimate than it is. It is huge. And a residential road runs through so there is lots of traffic. The staff were great! We didn’t have an opportunity to use anything but the dog park. It was small. Location was beautiful.
