Happy Acres Kampground Reviews
This is a nice campground. Its set back off the road so you don't hear road noise. The sites are well laid out. The staff are fantastic and friendly. The rates are reasonable. We had a 50amp site with water. There is plenty to do if you need activities. They also have a nice camp store. And, they have two dump stations, which keeps people moving on check out day. We will definitely be back!
Jun 22, 2025 · Kathy KellerWe loved our stay here! Everyone was super friendly and the campground was well maintained. They had tons of activities for the kids to do. Lots of seasonal sites that are very nicely maintained. We enjoyed our stay and will be back!
Jun 29, 2025 · Harleigh CrippenWe have camped here for several years and unfortunately we won't be coming back. Red flags popped up when I made this years reservation and was told that their reservations changed and that it's 100% prepay at time of reservation with no refunds given. The only other time we had that happen was when we camped in an awful campground for the first and only time. Where the waterfront used to offer bumper boats and the like, they will charge you $20 for kayaks and a paddle boat. The mini golf is tired and dated. The firewood is insanely priced. Each bundle had between 5-6 logs and for the 'special price ' of $39 with tax you can have 5 bundles. We spent $80 for a 3 night stay on firewood. We took our kids to the camp store for an ice cream. $4.50 for a snickers ice cream bar. The back shower house is old and dated. The mens room has 1 urinal that was clogged on a Saturday and 1 toilet that was clogged on Sunday. The showers have a concrete step. The front shower house has the hot and cold water faucet direction switched. Since they are pay showers you are wasting time trying to figure that out. There are a lot of nicer campgrounds with much nicer facilities and are more budget and family friendly.
Jun 16, 2025 · Jennifer BrandesBeautiful campgrounds! Well maintained and friendly staff. Lots of activities and things to keep you busy. Only criticism is that tent camping is a bit pricey ($60/night w/o water or electric).
May 18, 2025 · Lindsay DavisVery nice campground. Friendly staff. Sites are spacious. Has a nice little beach and activities for the kids. Has a pool also, but I wish they had a smaller pool for the little kids. Enjoy camping here and definitely will return.
