Group Camping Area - Lake Tawakoni State Park Reviews
Lovely park. Visited during autumn(November) so trees were looking beautifully colored. Also saw some deer & doe. Serious fish activity so I might come fishing. Some areas could use some touch-up & maintenance but overall we liked the park. Definitely recommend and will revisit. Good for camping too. There are grills, benches and more.Like that it was quiet enough for us to hear the birds, ducks, and fish splash
November 08 · Maria OnyexNice section of the park. Plenty of sites, a great spot for families and get togethers with friends. Near the water and near the boat ramp.
July 28 · Raphael VarisellaMy little group lucked out and found nobody here the day of the solar eclipse. A few people joined us later, but this was an awesome place to watch this event.
April 10 · Ron BemisGood area to camp if it's your first time ever and you like being surrounded by people while doing so. 90% of the campsites share space with neighboring camps, so it gets very crowded if any groups of 4 or more show up.The view of the stars is laughable. Maybe if it's your first time outside of the city it's worth it, but not really. You'll see at most specks across the sky on a clear night. In the end, great place for people that want to try camping but don't want to be further than 5 ft from their vehicle at all times. If you want something even remotely private you're better off in your backyard.
April 15 · Anoose KillmoreI really like the camp grounds. The only problem I had was that the bathrooms were truly disgusting and out of date. The bathrooms need to be remodeled and definitely cleaned thoroughly on a daily basis
