As a family-owned and operated business focused on providing a quality experience, Greenwood Lodge & Campsites typically communicates any promotions or special offers directly to its potential guests. While specific, continuously running "deals" might not be widely advertised in the same way large chains do, there are often ways for Vermont locals to find value or benefit from their stay.
- Direct Inquiry for Best Rates: It's always advisable for locals to contact Chris and his family directly via phone or email. As a small, family-run operation, they may be able to offer specific insights into availability, less busy periods, or potential discounts for longer stays that might not be broadly published on third-party booking sites.
- Seasonal Considerations: While the campground is popular throughout its season (mid-May to late October), booking during the shoulder seasons (e.g., late May/early June or September/October) might offer a quieter experience and potentially more flexibility or slightly better rates compared to peak summer weekends and holidays.
- Return Visitor Loyalty: Given the strong sense of community and the high rate of returning visitors (some for decades), it is always worth asking if there are any loyalty programs or considerations for repeat guests. Personal relationships often lead to favorable arrangements in family-owned establishments.
- Off-Season Inquiries for Future Planning: Although the campground is closed in winter, contacting them in the off-season for upcoming season bookings might allow access to early bird booking advantages, if offered.
- Check Official Website and Social Media: Any official promotions would likely be posted on their direct website (www.campgreenwoodvt.com) or potentially on their social media channels. Keeping an eye on these platforms is a good strategy for locals.
The core "promotion" for locals at Greenwood Lodge & Campsites often comes in the form of excellent value for a truly well-maintained, welcoming, and scenic camping experience, rather than deeply discounted rates. The personalized service and pristine conditions are often considered the real "special offer" here.

Greenwood Lodge & Campsites Reviews
We stayed here for one night and were blown away with the scenery, RV sites and location. We were greeted by Chris who shared many details about our stay and local attractions, hiking trails and information on our stay. This is a small family owned business with depth and attention to detail. It is a small quiet campground nestled in the Vermont mountains with stunning views. Easy RV access for travel trailers with some larger spaces for class A rigs or large fifth wheels. Would highly recommend this place for people looking to take the scenic route and enjoy Vermont’s beautiful views. Only downside is no sewer hookups.
Sep 11, 2024 · Garrett KraalMy partner and I just spent the long weekend here. We had such a wonderful experience! Chris and his family were so kind and always made sure we had what we needed. They gave us some great recommendations around the area as well. Everything was so clean and well taken care of!!! We will definitely be visiting again.

Aug 01, 2024 · Kelly O. PetersenIf I could give this place 10 stars I would! There's no way I'll fit all the good things I have to say about Greenwood Lodge, the Sheas, and our time there into this little box. But in short, the accommodations were wonderful, the view and scenery sublime, and the hospitality was out of this world.Chris was so helpful in every aspect of our trip. Without going into too much detail, he stuck around to give us pointers about our RV (first timers) and went far out of his way to make sure things were all set for our visit. His parents are an utter delight to talk to as well! Ed swung by as we were leaving, cracked a delightful joke, and wished us well.Ann was a pleasure to speak with and not only provided outstanding customer service, but she was so responsive, friendly, courteous, and an all-around joy to deal with. I wish Ed and Ann the best of health and longevity, and will enjoy seeing them on our future visits for years to come! The grounds are just stunning. Excellent places to walk, hike, fish, and just take in the scenery. The camping spots where we parked our RV had all the hook ups we needed (INCLUDING WIFI!) and were private enough to make it feel like we were on our own adventure with little interference from other guest. We stumbled upon Greenwood Lodge by accident, but we will certainly be coming back to stay as soon as we can!TL;DR this is one of those places that I'd prefer not to review, because I rather people don't know about it, so we can keep it all to ourselves. However, Greenwood Lodge is something that everyone should experience. And most importantly, the Shea Family are people who everyone should meet.Until next time!
Sep 17, 2024 · S WSA medium sized park with water/electric sites some set in the open and some in the trees. There are no sewer hook ups but there is a dump point. There are several ponds that add to the ambiance. The bathhouse was modern, clean, and functional. NOTE: After making an online reservation they will send you an email with directions into the park. Follow these, NOT your GPS. You’ll understand after you arrive safely.
