We chose this campground for an overnight halfway stop while traveling home from our vacation further south this past weekend. The campground is about a few miles from I40 via a standard 2 lane road. Super accessible and no steep or winding roads to the entrance. The place hasn't been open a full year yet, so it has some ups and downs of being new. The gravel isn't fully packed just yet, so as a courtesy, I used 4x4 to avoid digging in while traversing the small hills of the grounds with camper attached. The bathhouse had 6 or 7 fully separated bathrooms. Some with shower, toilet, sink and some no shower. It was very clean. As they are only in phase one of the build, there's only 15-20 spots open. We opted for P1 which is electric and water only. It had plenty of evening shade from the woods we backed up to. The site had more than enough space to fit our 29' camper and F250 Crew Cab LB on the first shot and not in the road while connected. The view from our spot was very nice, but the views from the sites being built will be even better. I snapped a photo from the top of the hill looking down at our campsite (far left), and it'll be a great view once those are ready. As we arrived late, we did talk with one of the owners in the morning before leaving and she was very nice and personable. While I'm not sure if we'll stay here for a week's vacation in the future because we've had enough Gatlinburg trips the past decade, we will definitively keep this campground on our list of overnight stay list. It is a real gem off I40 and north of all the stressful winding roads of the I40 highway. I'm sure this campground will only improve as time goes on and they add features. Definitely a recommended campground from us. - Kyle Johnson
