Located in the charming small community of Granville, this city park campground is a resourceful spot that provides essential services for both RV enthusiasts and tent campers. It offers the kind of peaceful, small-town setting that allows you to truly unwind from the journey while offering surprisingly generous facilities for a community park.
The campground is a crucial resource for those traversing **US Route 2**, a major highway across North Dakota, providing a welcomed overnight spot. Its reputation is built on value and convenience, with one customer noting, "A wonderful resource for those driving Rt 2," and another praising the overall atmosphere as a "quite nice little area." This park operates under a flexible payment model, often utilizing an honor system where rates are highly competitive, making it a budget-friendly option for families and long-term travelers alike.
What truly sets Granville City Park apart is the combination of its natural setting and the depth of its recreational offerings. The campground is part of a larger city park area that boasts numerous amenities, ensuring there is "lots for kids too do" and plenty of space for adults to relax. ★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1A wonderful resource for those driving Rt 2. It seems the stay is free if you don’t use electric, and is $20 if you do. Water and electric at every site. Quiet, lovely breeze. Technically you can hear Rt 2, but I’m a light sleeper and it wasn’t loud enough to bother me at all. I’m thankful this park was here! Warning that the only gas station in town was closed when I was here so I had to back track to Minot (next gas east is ~75 miles). Also, trash cans were a bit hard to find in the park.
September 26 · Mackenzie CatronQuite nice little area lots for kids too do if your lucky might see horses at the track
September 01 · Coady McAnallyWe stayed here for 2 days. What a great little gem! $20 a night and 30 amp, water and a dump site. We walked our dogs and ate at some places here. Friendly people everywhere we went. Thank you Granville!!!
September 15 · Brenda MartinGreat place at a great price. Paul of City Maintenance was very informative and opened up the old school house and log cabin for us to see. What a treat. Heather at City Hall was also a big help. Really enjoyed our stay here. Very quiet and relaxing.
September 14 · Wayne MartinCampground is quiet and well maintained. However, beware if you are not self-contained with a bathroom on-board. There is only an outhouse or porta-potty about 1 block away in opposite directions.
