Goshen Springs Campground boasts a strategically advantageous location at 4248 MS-43, Brandon, MS 39047, USA. This positioning places it immediately adjacent to the renowned Natchez Trace Parkway, a significant draw for many travelers and history enthusiasts. For locals, this means convenient access to a scenic route perfect for leisurely drives, cycling, or exploring historical sites and natural beauty right in their backyard. The campground's proximity to the parkway makes it an excellent base for exploring this iconic national treasure without having to travel far from the Brandon area.
Furthermore, a key highlight of its location is its direct adjacency to a "huge reservoir." This is a major appeal for water sports enthusiasts, including boaters and anglers. For Mississippi residents, having such a large body of water practically at their doorstep means ample opportunities for fishing, boating, kayaking, or simply enjoying the lakeside environment. The ability to launch a boat and be on the water within minutes of leaving your campsite is a significant convenience and a strong selling point for local users who own watercraft. This proximity to the reservoir greatly enhances the recreational value of the campground.
While the location offers many benefits, it's also important to note its adjacency to "a very busy road that gets pretty loud." This detail, while a factual observation, is relevant for campers who prioritize absolute quiet. However, for many, the trade-off of quick access to the Natchez Trace and the reservoir outweighs the potential for road noise. Its presence on a state highway (MS-43) further emphasizes its ease of access from various parts of Mississippi, allowing for straightforward arrival and departure. This combination of being next to major recreational assets and a state road makes Goshen Springs Campground highly accessible for local adventurers looking to maximize their time outdoors.

Goshen Springs Campground Reviews
This place is adjacent to the Natchez Trace parkway which is why we are here. It's also right next to a huge reservoir so a lot of people here with boats. Very spacious sites with concrete pads and 30/50 amp FHU. It is adjacent to a very busy road that gets pretty loud. Reservations are online only. Website says the limit is a 14 day stay. Many RVs have been here for months maybe even years. Newer section appears to be more transient.
Apr 22, 2025 · straight upWent from 100 to 0 quickly.... These people harassed me over $4 I didn't have on one of my cards but I had on my other card and could not transfer. They wouldn't accept 2 forms of payment. This should have been my first clue. So I let that go and continue on with my stay. They have no one after hours to talk to or number posted. I got in at 11 pm from work, I went in to work at 645 am. The payment I made online didn't go through which I didn't understand because I thought I got a confirmation number but apparently I didn't because I couldn't find it when I went back to look for it. I paid that the next morning ASAP, so anyway they were so afraid I had spent a night without paying they never even looked to see if I had made a payment when they called me trying to intimidate me telling me that they would cut off my lights and my water and lock me out of my camper that my dog was inside of, if I didn't make a payment before 5 pm. This was at 3 pm... So I kindly told them to check their records that I had paid for 2 days and I got hung up on. Then they rented the spot I was staying on so I would have to move .when I moved to New spot they rented it for the next week and they cut the power and water to the new spot. Run by police you would think would be better than this garbage place.
Oct 25, 2024 · Beverly ChambersSites were fairly spacious on a concrete pad, we stayed only one night. The water hookup was brown and we got sand in our lines. It cleared up after a little usage. Make sure you let the spigot run before hookup. Proximity to Natchez Trace Pkwy was key for us. I would probably stay here again.

Feb 07, 2025 · Lisa menkenNice spot for fishing and boating. The campground has two sections, nightly and monthly. No monthlys available but the nightlys are reasonably priced and it's a nice spot for a weekend trip. They have a pool and a small playground for the kids, a large pavilion for parties and a boat ramp. The female bathhouse is...not good, only one shower 'works' the other two either trickle or blast your skin off like a pressure washer, and throw temperature control out the window. Most of the toilets always stay in some state of clogged. The laundry mat is just as abysmal. None of the dryers work and all the washers have a faint smell of cigarettes. Full hookup but some of the water pipes busted during winter so check your water line before you put jacks down. Also some sewer pipes sit higher than others making drainage an issue. They have some really nice roomy paved slots with privacy bushes. Some at the front still need to be repaved. The slots by the dumpsters stink of dead fish and wet trash perpetually. The woodline occasionally floods. Security is good during the day but none at night. The occasional wild party happens. You get decent signal on both phones and Internet. Low noise pollution, a few spots have decent shade during the day. Its about 20-30 minutes away from downtown Jackson. Not the most amazing park we've stayed at but definitely not the worst.
