Jun 07, 2025 · Charles JThe campsite was not near as nice as pictured on the park website. It has standing water and mud everywhere. Just this site. It's odd. We toured around the campground and found most of the sites were small and very close together. We came here because we have stayed in the cabins here before and they are beautiful. Well stocked, clean. We expected a bit more from the campground. Also the bathrooms are very old and not well maintained. We are staying a week, hopefully some of this water dries up.
May 12, 2025 · Colleen NeidrauerWe just checked out of Gifford Pinchot SP. Pay close attention to the site descriptions on the website. Some sites are FHU, some are electric and water, some are nothing. Completely primitive. All the roads and sites are paved (some partial paved and gravel). The bathhouses are not great. They need updating and a thorough cleaning. The dumpsters for trash are only at the front of the park. We were there during the week, so it was quiet. But we heard that weekends are super busy and not quiet. It rained a lot before we arrived and noticed some of the sites get flooded. It's a nice park and we'll be back.
May 16, 2025 · Michelle DettlaffThis is a great state park. Went over Memorial Day weekend and had a great time. The sites are very nice and felt like you had a lot of privacy. They had lots of bathrooms available if need as well as wood to buy. There’s no full hook up sites here just electric. There is water available at the front when you come in to fill up your rv/camper. They had 4 dump stations too which was nice.
May 29, 2025 · Joey GSome of the reviews for the campground were so negative that I was a little nervous. Don't let them sway you!! The park was clean, well lit, full of families, quiet at night, and so peaceful! Site 115 was beautiful. Water views and NO bugs. Sites in our loop were well maintained. Bathrooms were older, as to be expected, but they were clean. We would definitely stay here again.
