Gateway Glamping Introduce
For those of us in Colorado, the call of the outdoors is practically a way of life. We love our mountains, our trails, and our clear skies. But sometimes, we seek an outdoor experience that marries the raw beauty of nature with a touch of comfort and luxury. If you've ever dreamt of camping under a blanket of stars without sacrificing the comforts of home, then you need to know about Gateway Glamping, a true "hidden treasure" nestled in the stunning red rock country of Western Colorado.
Gateway Glamping, located at 42711 CO-141, Gateway, CO 81522, USA, isn't just a place to stay; it's an experience meticulously crafted to provide a "magical" escape. Forget roughing it – here, the "tents are not only beautiful but also thoughtfully equipped with everything you could possibly need." From the "gorgeous, peaceful, scenic" setting to the "SO luxurious" bedding and bathrooms (nicer than some hotels!), every detail is designed to elevate your connection with nature. What truly sets this "little slice of heaven" apart, however, are the incredible camp hosts, Jacob and Jessica. Consistently praised as "the best camp hosts we’ve ever had," their passion, knowledge, and genuine care ensure every guest feels "so welcomed and cared for." For Colorado locals looking for a truly unique, relaxing, and luxurious outdoor adventure with their loved ones (including their dogs!), Gateway Glamping comes with the highest recommendation, promising an unforgettable stay in a truly "mind-blowing" part of our state.
Gateway Glamping is exquisitely situated at 42711 CO-141, Gateway, CO 81522, USA. This address places it in the remote yet stunning red rock landscape of Western Colorado, often referred to as the Unaweep Canyon area. Gateway, a small community, is renowned for its dramatic geological formations, its proximity to the Dolores River, and its status as a gateway to vast expanses of public lands, including the Bureau of Land Management (BLM) and National Forest areas.
Accessibility to Gateway Glamping is remarkably straightforward, particularly for a destination that feels so wonderfully secluded. Colorado State Highway 141 (CO-141) is a well-maintained paved road, making the drive smooth and scenic. This means that travelers in all types of vehicles, from sedans to larger RVs (though the glamping tents themselves are the primary accommodation, not RV sites), will find the journey manageable. The review mentioning "just a hop and a skip away from the river and beautiful public land to explore" further emphasizes its convenient position. While Gateway itself offers limited services, the ease of access via a state highway ensures that reaching this glamping paradise is part of the enjoyable experience. For Colorado locals, it’s a manageable drive that transports you to a truly unique and visually spectacular corner of the state, far from the bustling mountain towns.

May 24, 2025 · Elizabeth DeLeoneIf we could give more than 5 stars, we would! We are so grateful to have spent a weekend with our two dogs in this true slice of heaven. The hosts are incredible humans, and their passion for what they do is evident in every detail. They immediately made us and the dogs feel right at home, were so generous to offer us anything we needed, educated us on the local spots, and were lovely to chat with, all while still allowing their guests plenty of peace and privacy to unwind. The tent, bedding, bathrooms, etc were SO luxurious (nicer than some hotels we’ve stayed in), and everything was super well stocked and maintained daily. We really enjoyed the views and space of the Escalante site. The grounds are in a GREAT location just a hop and a skip away from the river and beautiful public land to explore! Gateway holds all the best qualities of a small town but still manages to blow your mind with its magic. Highly recommend this spot and the people who run it! Thanks Jessica and Jake! 🥰⛰️🌵☀️
Jun 22, 2025 · Reagan HicksFrom the moment we arrived, this glamping stay exceeded all expectations. We were warmly greeted with music playing, which instantly set a welcoming and relaxing tone. Jessica and Jacob were incredibly friendly and offered helpful tips that we greatly appreciated. Every detail was thoughtfully curated — from the spotless accommodations to the beautifully manicured grounds. It’s clear they’ve put a lot of love into this campsite. Super accommodating, peaceful, and just an all-around pleasant experience. Highly recommend!
May 29, 2025 · Amanda PierceWe stopped here on our honeymoon and had an incredible experience! We showed up outside of the recommended check-in time but the hosts were incredibly understanding and accommodating. We bought stuff for s'mores at the cute little camp store and cooked them by our tent. The views of the stars are incredible here, we spent a good amount of time stargazing late at night. There was only one other couple there when we were so the campground was super quiet and peaceful. The bed was super comfortable and the tent was really cozy! Everything in the campsite is incredibly clean and you won't find better hospitality anywhere else. We drove south down the highway leading up the campground just after the sun set and we saw a lot of deer in the road, as well as a cat, so I would recommend arriving earlier in the day. We will be coming back!
Jun 23, 2025 · Elise St ClairGreat experience all around! Jacob and Jessica were fantastic hosts, very attentive when they saw anything we might need. The yurts were well done and a great way to end our rafting trip. Lots of little touches that made the whole experience that much better. Highly recommend going out of your way to stop here!
