The opportunity to establish seasonal sites also fosters a strong sense of community, appealing to those who enjoy returning to the same spot year after year and building connections with fellow campers.
However, it is crucial for prospective local visitors to be aware of the recent downturn in guest experiences as highlighted in the provided reviews. Concerns about management availability, pool and slide operational issues during peak times, and declining cleanliness standards in key areas like bathrooms and the store are significant points of feedback. These issues, if not addressed, can detract from what was once considered a "beautiful" park.
Therefore, while Fremont RV Campground offers a fantastic array of facilities and a prime location for recreational activities, locals considering a visit should temper expectations with recent operational challenges. For those willing to overlook potential inconsistencies in service and cleanliness, the sheer volume of amenities and the excellent lake access still provide a foundation for an enjoyable trip. However, it would be prudent for locals to verify the current operational status of key amenities and recent guest experiences closer to their planned visit to ensure their expectations align with the campground's present condition.

Fremont RV Campground Reviews
As a friend of an annual, we have been camping with them here for years and have enjoyed every summer prior. This season is the absolute worse. I went into the office to discuss my concerns with the Property Manager only to discover on the hottest weekend of the year with the pool and slide not in service she took off of work. Assuming so she didn't have to deal with the backlash from the pool being down. And it seemed that no manager was available. As I was driving my golf cart down by the lake, I noticed a manager golf cart was parked behind the maintenance building with what I assumed to be the manager on duty smoking. Which explained why there was not a manager available. So being that it was 99 degrees out I decided to take the kids to the store to get some ice cream, immediately upon entering I smelled cigarette smoke coming from an older employee in the store. When I asked her about the cigarette smell she introduced herself as the store supervisor and I immediately realized the cigarette smell was permeating from her, I decided that we were not going to get ice cream from there. The smell was a complete turn off.The location is great, this park use to be so beautiful, but something needs to be done because under current management the place has gone completely downhill.
Jun 22, 2025 · Sarah ThompsonWe have camped here a number of times. In the past is has been a good experience. This year there was a big change. A lot of issues that created a negative experience. From store closing in the middle of the day to bathrooms being.well below standards for cleanliness this place is a disappointment this year
May 25, 2025 · Jack Millerthey left the room messy, staff were rude, and they have no WiFi. The pool was good though.
Jul 04, 2025 · Lilly NarlockWe have been camping at this location for 31 years. Our kids have precious memories of the lake site we have always reserved. I am sad to say that over the last several years it has declined dramatically in so many ways. First of all, the dock on our lake site was unusable, which was a huge disappointment. Our site was covered with the remnants of water balloons. Are the sites not cleared of debris between reservations? We also sure miss the garbage bag removal service. The electrical box didn’t work on one of our sites. The port-a-potties were awful. The men’s bathroom was a mess. For the price of these sites, you would think there would be more motivation in the area of service. The bait shop/rental area looks like a dump - totally unacceptable. I’m glad I no longer have children using the pool! I watched both life guards as they talked to girls constantly and rarely glanced at the pool. Two of the employees I spoke to admitted the place is going downhill. Dumping Yogi was a mistake too. I say all of this not to whine and complain - that’s not my reason for leaving this review - my intention is to get the attention of the current owners/manager to let them know that long-time customers are sad and disgusted to see a place that holds so many wonderful memories slowly disintegrate. PLEASE invest some time and money into this property and bring it back to what it once was. If you can’t or won’t, please sell it to someone who will.
Jul 03, 2024 · Carolyn NavalThis was another sleep stop in Sep 2024 as we make our way to Mackinaw MI. We had to disconnect the car because we had a back-in campsite. As it was at Pine Country, this Thousand Trails campground was mostly empty except for the large number of people with seasonal or annual campsites. At least 1/3 of the spaces occupied by permanent residents. Again, no staff on duty (we picked up our reservation materials in a packet at the office) and no amenities open. This is one of the first Thousand Trail campgrounds we’ve been to that is not gated - anyone can enter & drive through. The laundromat was closed, store was closed, and office was closed, even though Thousand Trails says they are open until 10/16. Open to camp, but no staff or services. I did finally find the one bathroom/shower room that was open, on the other side of the campground. Throughout the park they mostly have outhouses. They desperately need to trim the trees, which screeched over our roof getting to and from our site. There was some road noise from the freeway, but that was drowned out by the geese and ducks on Tadpole pond. One end of the park is next to 900-acre Partridge Lake which appears to be a popular boating & fishing lake. Our site was acceptable at best. Not very level, the electricity cut out once when the A/C was running. The water pipe worked, but had been backed into and was bent at 45°. There was no septic hookup. On a positive note it was shaded by the trees and we had a peekaboo view of the pond. There was a picnic table & fire pit, but it was too warm for a campfire. They do have nice amenities in season. The pool has a huge water slide, there are several playgrounds, a bouncing feature, gold panning feature, and a game room (the only place open). Some of the sites in the lake have boat slips. This would be a nice destination vacation with kiddos. However, there is not much of anything nearby. We drove into the little town of Weyauwega to check out the brewpub - only to find that they don’t brew beer. They have it on tap (all FOUR taps). 🤦🏼♀️ We did pick up some Wisconsin cheese curds and had a frozen custard.I probably wouldn’t return to this campground unless it was summer and we had our grandkids with us.
