Fox River State Forest Campground Reviews
Awesome rustic campground with picnic tables, we were there the first weekend of June and we were the only campers. Most sites are right on the river. Bring your bug spray as the national bird of Michigan (the mosquitos) are heavy up here.
Jun 02, 2025 · Lyndsay GrabillI had a great experience at this campground during a one day visit in May. I was the only person around during my stay. Provided were clean vault toilets (his and her), delicious water out of the pump, and even trash receptacles. My site was level, and there was fire wood about. There is evidence of recent improvement, and paths are cut in to help get down the short but steep hill to the river. Everything and more you could expect from a SFCG.
May 10, 2024 · Jim S.This is a fishing camp for the most diehard... Vaulted toilet's and a hand pump that has some pretty good water and that's it! Oh yea the bugs... They will eat you alive in the summer so come prepared... There's no playground equipment or anything to do for the little ones.. this really is a fish camp
Jul 05, 2020 · Pink ChapmanSome truly back woods camping, yet with a toilet. There is a walking path (26 miles long) that links up into the pictured rocks trail system.
