Fashoda Campground Reviews
Pros: Beautiful sites! The beach is pretty and plenty of room for everyone. Campgrounds is roomy and spread out from each other.. Our family reunions have been happening here for quite some time and we love it here.Cons: Bathroom always stink (the ones closer to the beach the worse it is), no tp (almost 85% of the time) so bring your own. Parking sucks. Day use people take over parking for those who actually camp. Showers: $3for 3 min and additional 20sec for each quarter.‼️Hosts: We had some new ones this year. After a weekend, one got roust and rude (Katie I think is her name) throwing a fit about our campers and saying we have left a mess on the beach and need to take ALL our items off the beach. This was not us! Our family respect the beach and always keep it tidy at the end of the day. The day use people over the weekend made a mess and they assumed it was us and came out accusing our group. This is not professional in the least bit and rules should not be made up on the fly. Katie makes up regulations as she goes along. One night she was driving by telling us to be IN OUR TENTS by 10pm! Other nights she’d drive by yelling at us to be quiet (not even 10pm). She’s not nice to the kiddos. She scared them by telling them a bear was on its way and that they should hide in the tent! She does not seem to lower her voice and if we kindly ask her to, she gets more riled up. She blamed our kids for riding bikes at night and once we stated that it wasn’t our kids, she got more pissed. We’ve been so patient with her but she’s just gone off the rails. Ed was nice at first but he definitely started to take her side later on and used foul language with us once asked for certain clarifications. The hosts needs to be looked into because this type of behavior is not acceptable.
Jul 10, 2024 · Allie OHad a great experience. Got cold @ night, but wonderful during the day. Took the kayak out and had a great experience with my first large body of water. Fishing wasn't great but it was my first time lake fishing trying to drift.
Aug 14, 2024 · Jermaine YoungI had a truly terrible experience during my one-night stay at this campground. The staff were the worst I have ever encountered. Instead of speaking to us calmly, they shouted at us to turn off our music at 10:00 PM on a weekend night. Their aggressive behavior frightened our kids.We were not the only ones awake at the campground, but the staff continued to argue and use inappropriate language with our neighbors as well. After a heated argument with our neighbors, one of the employees apologized to them but not to us. Despite us putting out our fire and preparing to sleep, the staff, particularly a man whose name I don't remember and a woman named Katie, kept insisting that we leave the campground.Katie's behavior was especially rude and racist. This experience completely ruined our time off, and we will never return to this campground. Save yourself the trouble and find a different place to stay.
Jun 30, 2024 · Hakima MuradiWe’ve been coming here for 20 years and every year is a 10/10 experience, it’s been and is our favorite family tradition. This year was by far the worst experience due to the camp hosts Katie and Ed for the season of 2024. They would come by and harass our campground, making up rules, accusing us of things that were not true, scaring our children that there are bears just so they go to bed early, cussing at us when we questioned the rules that we never once had, they are taking such horrible care of the camp sites (garbage everywhere, bathrooms absolutely filthy, no toilet paper ever restocked). We have videos of them drinking of the job and proof of them using foul language with us. Please get rid of these horrible camp hosts. They should not be allowed to have any association with recreational activities, they just ruin everything.
Jul 10, 2024 · Sarah KalenyukCampsite was in great shape! The new camp hostess (forget her name, but it was NOT Katie or Ed) was super nice and friendly. Fun time! We were at camp site area #26, right next to the lake.
