Fancy Gap Cabins and Campground Reviews
This campground is fantastic! The cabin was clean, had a queen bed, futon, mini fridge, microwave, and coffee pot. It's not air conditioned but they provide a fan which I put in the window. I slept comfortably. The cabin was pet friendly but you'd never know a dog had ever stayed here because it was so clean. The bathhouse was nice. It is bright, clean, and had good hot water. It's conveniently located right on the parkway which is a rarity in VA. I would definitely stay here again.
Jun 13, 2025 · Rebecca HarrisonBeautiful campground! Charles and Jen are wonderful owners who take great care of the facilities and cabins and campgrounds. We have camped here multiple times and have had zero issues! Beautiful area of the blue ridge to walk and close enough to town to drive and explore!

May 30, 2025 · Jen’s Tiny DreamI was a guest of family there. Beautiful when you pull in and clean, however I had never been there and was a bit lost. I pull around and was greeted by a man and informed him, with a smile that I was lost and never been there. The first thing he says to me is “ I’m just trying to figure out why you didn’t stop at the sign” confused I said I didn’t see a stop sign and he states “well it’s there and you need to stop and check in” I replied I said I was lost but ok. I then was directed to the exit. Before exiting the campground I stopped at the end of the exit across from the Ranger station. Once again I was met with this man again just standing there staring at me. I ask “is there something I can help you with or am I bothering you” his reply is “no but you are booking the exit” (let’s keep in mind there is not ONE single car IN SIGHT.) I told him there was no reason to be rude and he replied”if youre rude I’m going to be rude” I was never rude just lost. If you want to talk on the phone go across to the ranger station. Once again not a person in sight or blocking any traffic from any direction. He was unprofessional and made it uncomfortable. I was in and out for a couple of days and watched him approach no one about that little bitty check in stop sign the rest of the stay. During my stay I heard multiple complaints even a complaint of taking pictures of our children(mostly little girls) without permission. It felt more like a concentration camp, not an enjoyable free spirited place to stay. I will definitely not recommend. The cabins were small and HOT. I didn’t stay so I can say much about anything else only what I experienced.
Jun 16, 2025 · Olivia PowellThis is my go to place to stay if visiting that portion of Virginia and the Mt. Airy area. It's perfectly located with a killer sunrise view just a short walk down the parkway.
