Aug 09, 2024 · Stanley OchoaMy boyfriend and I stopped to camp here on our way to San Francisco. Everything is easily accessible and there are plenty of signs. Very quiet campground with a bonus of showers at the back of the bathrooms.
Jun 24, 2025 · Jessica WaldenJust stayed here for the first time. The campground itself is pretty nice, the grounds are well kept, the restrooms are clean, great location. There was a lot to like about it however unfortunately the cons quickly outweighed the pros. The first con is part of the location, it is extremely windy. Obviously not something that can be helped other than maybe if they planted more tall trees to try to protect the campground, regardless be warned the evenings and nights can become extremely windy to the point being outside is not enjoyable. Not a deal breaker but good to be prepared.Another con, which is just downright weird is there are hookup sites with the hook ups on the WRONG side of the campsite. We were the unlucky ones to get such a site. Thankfully we had an extra sewage hose and an extension cord to make it work but the hookups are right in the way. You open the door of your trailer and are almost tripping on the sewage. Pretty strange. The other cons were the main issues. I have stayed at a lot of campgrounds, ones which were more of a party atmosphere however this one was by far the loudest and most roudy of campgrounds I have experienced. There were multiple sites which were pumping loud music, way louder than necessary which made it impossible to enjoy your own site's peacefulness or if you had even wanted to listen to your own music quietly you would not be able to hear it. Camp host was nowhere to be found and respect of other campers was not important. There was a large group of kids, a dozen or so who were running all through the campsites shooting loud fully automatic gel blaster guns even way past the late quiet curfew of 10pm. They were such a nuisance that the Sheriff eventually was called out on them a couple times however as soon as the Sheriff left they resumed and the parents were apparently not held accountable. The next night there was another campsite that had loud and drunk campers which started getting violent, lots of yelling and a woman crying and again the Sheriff was called out.2/3 nights we spent there and the Sheriff had to respond to different issues. The management of the campground needs a major overhaul to be able to handle these types of issues. The whole point of camping is supposed to be able to be safe, peaceful and relaxing and unfortunately this campsite was everything but. Hopefully they change their system up and have a camp host who actually enforces rules and promotes courtesy to other campers or that they have a ranger on site to keep campers safe.Unfortunately despite how pretty, clean, and convenient of a location the campground is we will probably not visit again.
Jan 03, 2025 · Jesse PurvesA great place to camp, the restrooms are nice and clean. The showers take quarters. The campsites are big and separated with trees and bushes.
Jul 24, 2024 · Steve O.Note: the “primitive” section of the campground has the least privacy between sites, and still allows RVs, so you’ll still hear generators. Also, the showers don’t work, so save your quarters.
