Eagle Point Campground Reviews
The star of the show is the lakeside views...however that comes at a cost being next to the road with traffic noise. Might not be an issue with a well insulated RV...but tent camping will have you up early. Restrooms are clean.
Jun 16, 2025 · Steve VisnageStayed here before the high season got underway and it was cold and empty, but the campground itself is beautiful. The showers seem to be new. I would stay again.
Jun 11, 2025 · M. S.This is a sloped wooded campground with a beautiful beach off of Schroon Lake in the Adirondacks. It's quite possibly my favorite campground in New York state.
Jun 03, 2025 · Mitchell RaymondMy boyfriend and I stayed here a couple of weeks ago for our vacation. It was my first time staying at a camp site, and I loved it! The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. The site we had was a good size and a one minute walk away from the shore of Schroon Lake. Beautiful view. I enjoyed several mornings starting my day doing meditation and yoga on the lake shore. We did kayaking - again, my first time - and the experience was easy and affordable. I appreciated the water spigot available near our site, and the benches and fire pit. The standalone bathrooms were satisfactory, and the showers were amazing! Water was always nice and warm, and the facilities were clean and updated. My only wish was that the water had the ability to get cold when I did want a cold rinse after our hikes in the heat. (But warm/hot water is more important, so I'm not complaining.) Lots of cute little chipmunks everywhere. This location wasn't far from the local small town if you need groceries, restaurants, or a liquor store. It's only thirty minutes from Lake George, so we were able to enjoy downtown Lake George a couple of times during the week. A lot of wonderful hiking spots nearby as well. I suggest Severance Mountain for a relatively easy hike and gorgeous view. Looking forward to going back next year! 😊
Sep 23, 2024 · Pixie ChimericAwesome stay at Eagle Point! We had campsite #28 and while it was a little small and uneven, we were able to find a spot to put our two person tent. It wasn’t crowded at all. The newly renovated bathrooms and showers are nicer than most hotels! The beach area was great - quiet, clean, and spacious. The camp staff were very helpful and friendly. Will certainly be back!
