One of the significant advantages of Donegal Campground's location is its proximity to the Pennsylvania Turnpike. As one reviewer noted, it's "Nice and close to the turnpike," which makes it incredibly accessible for travelers coming from various parts of Pennsylvania or even neighboring states. While being close to the highway means there can be some road noise, many visitors find that the peacefulness of the campground generally outweighs this. Donegal Campground Reviews
Awesome owner, very nice guy. Campground was clean overall as far as the sites and facilities go, wasn't too much going on and was very quiet. The site we had was perfectly level almost and very roomy and large with plenty of room for a large RV. Full hookups all worked perfectly, and the whole campground is covered with trees, making it very easy to keep cool or stay out of the sun. They also have a pool which looked pretty nice, they were working on getting it open for memorial day. Nice and close to the turnpike, plenty of places and things to do nearby. Will be coming back again!
May 18, 2025 · Tim PattakosWe were seasonal campers here for 13 years. The campground is small but it is clean and well shaded. It is owned by Betty Yeckel. She's very nice. Her son Dan, owns and runs the body shop out next to the main road, Rte.31. He helps his mother tremendously with the campground. I see someone complained of a sewage smell. The campground uses a leach bed system that is in the woods below the place. When it is a major holiday weekend and the place is loaded up with campers, one should expect some discomforts. The bathrooms are dated but clean and work well. The pool is of nice size. It is filled from an underground spring so the water temp is quite cool most of the time. This place is as mentioned, close to the turnpike. It's also fairly close to Seven Springs. Ohio Pyle isn't all that far away either. This place is the cheapest in the area. If you want laid back camping, then go here. If your looking for a lot of hoopla, go elsewhere.
Mar 28, 2019 · Jeff HickmanWe have a 40 foot motorhome. We were in Site 8.Very nice and wooded. A little hilly to get to the site, but not a problem. It is a level, gravel siteThe sewer was a distance away, but we only used electric, which was fine. Close to Flight 93 memorial.
Nov 03, 2024 · Kevie NewmanA beautiful spot, easy to reach from the turnpike. Awesome pull through site with full hookups. Love the trees and quiet here. We will definitely camp here again.
