★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1The campground itself is immaculate but my site in particular (site 2) felt like a glorified parking spot. The site was literally beside the road, lines and all. The part my side door faced was a view of the side of the mountain sloping into the lake but I couldn't see the lake for the trees and there was no rails of any kind or anything to keep my kids and toddler safe from falling down the hill to the lake so we mostly stayed inside. The kids park isn't much but I was thankful there was a park. The showers are amazing, I cannot stress that enough. The staff is beyond friendly and helpful, they were everything I could have hoped for and more. It felt like the campground was more of a place for older people to relax and sit around in nature which is fine but if you have children and want to do things with them then it's not really the place. Nowhere for a child to ride a bike safely near your RV. There's no place to do laundry on site so if you don't have a washer and dryer in your rv you have a pretty good drive to get to a laundromat. I drove down to the boat dock to get a picture of the beautiful lake. As far as sound, it is as quiet as can be all the time. It is a very serene environment. My advice would be to pick a spot down in the loop with the wooden decks. We drove around the campground to look at the other sites and there are some that are really nice view wise and more practical for little ones in regards to saftey. If I were to go again, that's where I'd pick.
May 02 · Savannah LooneyGreat campground! Frequently monitored by the camp host and police. Beautiful sites and great access to the lake. Electric and water hook ups work great!
July 01 · Molly AnnSite 38, this was our emergency backup campgrounds but it was not a let down. Awesome location, decent bathrooms and lovely hosts. Shout to John for giving us a warm welcome and helping us feel safe!
May 03 · Eleanor MayWe stayed at the only tent site with a power hookup (site 45), and it was great. The sites are each private, and our site overlooked the lake. The view is blocked a lot by the trees, but it's not bad. It was mostly quiet. People played their music at their sites, but it wasn't very disruptive, and we had no issues with noise during quiet hours. The bathrooms and showers were clean and well-maintained. The check-in and check-out was easy. I'd definitely visit again.
May 24 · Niharika SarmaIt's a great place for a quiet getaway. There's a small playground for the kids, but that's it. It's mostly just a place for relaxation.
