This campground is immaculate! Both the grounds and the facilities are spotless. The staff is friendly and helpful as well. The pool is crystal clear but can be a bit crowded at times. There are a myriad of activities for the kids to keep busy. The sites are easy to maneuver in and out. They have a pancake breakfast on Saturday mornings that is delicious as well as economical ($8 for two HUGE pancakes with sausage or bacon). We camped in a 32’ travel trailer with two grandchildren (ages 8 & 6) and we all loved it! Highly recommend this campground for families.

Close to 80 and so many amenities with on site pizza. Bathrooms and showers very clean. Sites were large and we had a nice tree for shade. We only stopped for a night but got in early enough to enjoy the amenities (pool, putt putt, pizza, camp store, huge dog park). Camp store was well equipped and had supplies for campers and RVs. Highly recommend.

We loved our stay in the glamping cabins! Comfortably slept our family of four (though it was a tight squeeze with the two cots set up for the kids). We enjoyed all the amenities of the KOA - great pool, CLEAN, nice bathrooms, beautiful pond with pedal boats, gaga ball pit.

Walked in and immediately noticed the bathroom. Dirty, wet, stained towels lying in the bottom of the bathtub. Hair all over the bathroom sink and dried up tooth paste. Toilet had poop inside. The beds are covered in hair, dirt and dirty bedding. The kitchen sink and counter appear to have what looks like milk everywhere. After traveling for many of hours and then picking up the key to walk into this is absolutely ridiculous. It was 236.00 for the night to come to a filthy cabin.

**5-Star Review for West Des Moines KOA Campground**We stop at the West Des Moines KOA every year on our way through, and it’s easily one of the best KOAs we've stayed at! It’s a fun, clean, and family-friendly campground that always gives us a great experience.There’s a big jump pad that my kid loves, a nice playground, and a separate toy area that keeps them entertained for hours. They’ve also got a fun water balloon fight zone and a gem mining station—so much to do! We enjoyed pizza and ice cream from the store, which is super convenient and well-stocked.The sites are pretty wide and easy to set up in, and the staff are always so friendly and welcoming—it really makes a difference. Last year, my son won their fishing tournament, and the lake was great for it. This year, over Memorial Day weekend, the lake wasn’t fishable, but it looks like they’re working on building a new dock, which is promising.We look forward to stopping here every year. It’s a fun tradition and a great place to relax and enjoy some family time! Highly recommend!
