Deer Trail Park & Campground Reviews
This is a great RV park. There are three great playgrounds for the kids with really nice equipment. The pool is very nice as is the arcade. The owner is super nice and helpful. There is a pond you can fish in and a nice stream running thru the park. There are plenty of trees and shade and lots of options for spaces. I highly recommend this park if you're in the area.
Jun 15, 2025 · Pam GholsonMary really hooked us up on the site selection. I booked from about 300 miles away and she gave me all the info for an easy entrance. When we got to the site, it was the best in the park with a babbling creek five feet from our RV. We also have a special needs son who was able to enjoy the saucer shaped swing with a smile on his face. We actually ordered the same swing off Amazon for his enjoyment at home. Next time I’m in the area we will be staying there for sure.
Apr 24, 2025 · Brian WilkI think I might give it 2.5 stars but that wasn't an option. There were a lot of really nice things about this campground. It's a beautiful spot with sites along a creek. There is a fishing pond on the grounds. Several nice playgrounds. A huge game room with lots of games. A nicely stocked store. A hiking trail on the grounds. We didn't stay in a cabin but we saw inside one and it looked very nice. I think I would go back but probably won't because it wasn't amazing and because there are so many campgrounds around to try. However, there were some things that I think campers should know before going so you can prepare better. We went in April, so not peak season. Maybe that would account for some of the problems but we paid the same price as peak season.1. The price is the first issue. It is considerably more than other campgrounds which makes sense with all the amenities EXCEPT that the pool wasn't open yet and you have to pay to play the games in the game room and our kids were too old to use the playgrounds. Additionally, the water at our site wasn't on yet. Apparently, that's a seasonal thing too. We thought we had an electric and water site. So, we left wondering what we paid more for.2. I don't think the bathrooms were cleaned while we were there (3 nights, 2 days). There were few campers there but, for example, one toilet seat had some mess on it that went uncleaned for over 36 hours.3. The fire rings were either too small or the wood was cut too large. Not a problem if you just want to do s'mores or hotdogs. But, we had to cook over the fire. There was no grate but they provided something when we asked. We made it work with logs sticking over and the fact that the "grate" was not fit to the ring.4. There was no path to the bathhouse or even a mowed path. The grass was high. So, in the middle of the night or early morning, your shoes/feet get really wet from the dew.5. Finally, this isn't necessarily a complaint against the campground, but just info to know. There are neighbors who own the open field behind the some sites. They are VERY RUDE and aggressive. We didn't know it was their property because there was no sign, no fence, no info on the check in sheet. We were just hitting a volleyball back and forth and sitting on the grass.
Apr 24, 2025 · Alex ScullyLovely campground, plenty of room, lots of trees. You can tell they work to make everything comfortable and attractive. The staff was very friendly and helpful, and the small store has an AMAZING amount of food and other supplies. I didn’t go inside, but the game room had lots of different activities and looked like fun. Bath house was very clean, and laundry was accessible and inexpensive. All around, great campground.
