Dean's Campground Reviews
This was a perfect site for us to save on hotel costs on our trip to Seattle. Close enough to the city to do tourist stuff in Seattle while still getting a camping experience. Our site (Grey Wolf) was large, fairly private in terms of distance and shrubbery between other camp sites, and it had a picnic table and campfires permitted (in early June). Marlee was kind enough to let us pay for firewood. Our camp site was extra large for just us and I could totally see the campground being great for even larger groups or family reunions. It is just off of a golf course and wealthy residential subdivision (Marlee gave great instructions to get there). I was able to drive my car right into our campsite and the area was safe enough to leave our belongings while we did tourist activities in the day. The location nails the balance between urban accessibility and still feeling like you’re in nature. I also felt quite safe being near residential areas and even when there was a bear sighting, Marlee made sure to deal with it promptly and warn us. To be safe, make sure you stash your food! The portapotty was very clean and the camp sites are well cared for. Marlee is very responsive to messages and we had a fantastic time!
Jun 09, 2025 · Katherine BrownI loved it here. Going the alternative route through the golf course was pretty neat with all of the GIANT houses. Very clean port o potty and just all around beautiful. Also pretty secluded. Thanks for the accommodation guys!
Jun 09, 2025 · Lindsey JohnsonThe Black Bear campsite was incredible! It included a picnic table and space that can easily accommodate a medium-sized RV or a car (we used a car). There's also a designated spot for a tent. What sets Dean’s campground apart from others is the sense of privacy. Unlike many campgrounds where you're crowded by other campers, this one offers plenty of space, with bushes and trees providing natural privacy. It felt almost like having our own private campground. The caretakers were also very accommodating, making our stay even better. We’ll definitely be returning!
Sep 08, 2024 · Topsy CretClosed gate, no advanced information about how to access the camping ground. Not friendly for people travelling overseas. Have to make a roaming international call to get more information.Additional 12 dollars I pay for remotely contacting them. Does worth the money to be there.
