Dead Colt Creek Rec Area Reviews
We recently camped at Dead Colt Creek Campground in Lisbon, ND. It’s about an hour and 45 minutes drive from Fargo. We booked Camp Tent H and we absolutely loved it. The site was very spacious, and what made it stand out was the shelter that came with it. Most of the other tent sites didn’t have one, so we really appreciated the extra shade and comfort. It also felt more private since it’s a bit farther from the other campers. It directly faces the beach, so we had a beautiful view of the water and got to watch people jet skiing, kayaking, boating, swimming, and fishing. The atmosphere was both fun and peaceful. There’s a playground for the kids too, which is a nice bonus for families. One thing to keep in mind is that Tent H is a bit of a walk to the toilets, and there’s no water source nearby. We made sure to bring plenty of water with us. It wasn’t a big issue, just something to be prepared for.As for the entire campground, we were really impressed. It is very clean, the grass is nicely mowed, and there are beautiful trees all around. We especially loved the evergreens. The whole place felt peaceful, green, and well maintained.Whether you’re staying in a tent, RV, or camper, this campground is a great choice. Pets are welcome too as long as they’re leashed. We had a great experience and would definitely come back.
Jun 23, 2025 · Redge OlsonMy friend's son celebrated his birthday in the Pavilion area and it was great! We went down the lake and my kids aged 9,6, and 2 had a blast. They did not dip in the water but they enjoyed just hanging around and throwing rocks. Make sure to bring stuff to entertain yourself such as football, badminton, bean bags, nerf guns, and volleyball. My 2-year-old enjoyed the playground as well. This place is recommended for summer!
