★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1I went there to ride the Kankakee River Trail. There is plenty of parking and decent facilities. There's about 3 miles of gravel before you hit pavement for the remainder of the trail.
June 08 · Don HardyMy son and I went for the 2025 Cub Scout Camp Out and had a blast! Very clean and very spacious. Big open field and access to water for fishing and trails.
May 20 · Jordan FancherOutstanding youth campgrounds on the Kankakee River. The only downside is latrine number if all campsites are in use.
May 28 · Greg ProngerGreat hidden gem for photography! And deer roaming as well. Great spot
November 29 · Rebecca PIERCEWe stayed in Grove #9 it was very dry and no shade. Bonus was we were right next to the restrooms / parking lot but no shade. We had a wind storm followed by a thunderstorm without trees we were in an empty field. The other groves in the area have trees so have some natural wind blockage. Can't complain though was nice and quite for our scouting trip.
