Cottonwood Campground Reviews
Came here with my 29' travel trailer for a weekend of local events. Excellent location and great family-friendly atmosphere. Mostly seasonal campers, I suspect, but they were kind to us weekenders and my kids were able to make friends easily. Well-kept pool and playground and washroom/shower facilities. Would DEFINITELY return next time I'm in the area. And the name is no joke - there was cottonwood fuzz as thick as clouds all over the air :)

Jun 03, 2025 · Brianna WilliamsKeep your wallet out and pack your patience! They charge for everything!! The rate $50 per night is for 2 people, if someone else wants to spend the night $2.50 per person, if you want someone to visit $2.00 per person, if you want to run your air conditioning $2.50 per day, if you want to run your heat $2.50 per day, if you want the honey wagon to come by $15 M-Th, $20 F-SU.BUT here is the kicker their sites are back and forth so you are facing the other campers door and if you want to sit outside your sharing your yard with them. The site are so close together we could not get our awning out and there was no room to even play a yard game if you wanted to because you are sharing the area. We are quite "introverts" and do not want to be greated every time I walk out my door and I don't want to sit outside with strangers. They have softball fields at the campgound and there are leagues that run out of there. F-SU there were between 50-75 cars parked on any piece of grass. The other days it was practice so it was about 20 cars. The fans and players were constantly walking the campgound to use the restrooms. When it came time to pack up they had to hunt someone down so the campers could fit through the roadway out. This may not have been a big deal if they were not charging me if a friend stopped by.There groundsmen as a jerk. He was always grumpy and when you asked him a question he accused you of doing something and just did not fix it. When we arrived we were unable to get the sewer cap off and asked for help. He comes over and went on about how "someone" ran over it. If he would have looked at where we were parked it was impossible for us to have run over it. Another camper asked him to help get the cars moved so he could pull out and leave he never said a word to him just sped away in he gator kicking up rocks.
May 18, 2025 · Prentice FamilyStaff is very nice, it’s quiet but they have no control over the pool and the “big kids” ruined it for everyone.
Jun 23, 2025 · Liz Ann GrimaldiWe've camped here a few times over the years, and my mom currently has her camper here for the whole season. Wonderful, family friendly, local campground.
