Cornerstone Campground and Retreat Center Reviews
We arrived after 10pm and cheerfully greeted by Cyndee. She was very welcoming and showed up to our site, even helped assist parking in the dark. Originally we were going to be in overflow due to late notice but upon arrival, she and her husband let us know someone didn’t show and offered us a full hook up site. Upon sunrise, our kids enjoyed fishing, the huge play area, and the abundance of welcoming families. Although we were only there over night as we passed through, it was obvious they built such a welcoming resort with everything you could imagine for a memorable stay (including fresh food and coffee on site). I highly recommend staying here.
May 24, 2025 · Lauren NollUnderstand this is a Christian campground, and with that said it would normally not be our cup of tea simply because we don't like mixing religion or politics with business. This was a last minute change of plans for us as our original reservations at a campground in Kentucky got cancelled due to flooding so we were forced to find an alternative which is how we ended up here. The entrance to the campground is beautiful and the gentleman who greeted us at check-in was polite and friendly. The credit card fees seemed to be much higher than what I've seen elsewhere and he was pretty assertive about us paying with cash or check instead, even offering to wait for payment until the following day if we needed time to get to an ATM. A little odd, but I'm sure we can all conclude the reason they'd prefer those methods of payment. Our site was a back-in site and it was tight! If the adjacent sites were occupied as well there would have been no way we would have been able to get in. And once we extended our slides, the neighboring site's fire pit was almost right under our bedroom slide. Very awkward and thankfully no one showed up for that spot for the week we stayed there. In addition to the very tight spots, the connections are in the worst possible locations - all the way to the rear of the spots. So bring your extension cords, your extra long water hoses, and extra sewer hoses because they were definitely cutting corners building this part of the park. Other than that the park seemed to be well kept and the restaurant (that delivers to your site) has some pretty good pizza. So although I personally wouldn't stay here again, I wouldn't necessarily steer anyone away from it either. Just beware of what you're getting into and the weird rules they enforce because of their religious insecurities. No alcohol/smoking, no bikinis, etc.
Apr 23, 2025 · Brian PrattThis is a very nice campground! We will definitely be returning. Staff is super nice and always working around the campground, making sure everything is looking great! We stayed an extra couple of nights that we hadn't reserved and they worked us in our same site with no problem. Can't wait to go back!!
May 21, 2025 · Janie HackettWe have been visiting Cornerstone Campground and Retreat for many years. Every year we find wonderful improvements to the beautifully maintained campground. The staff is super friendly and always willing to go the extra mile to make our stay special. We can take part in the fun activities or take a quiet nap outside under the shade of a beautiful tree. Our stay was very relaxing and enjoyable.
Jun 16, 2025 · Jeff WalkerMy family of 4 were on a road trip and stayed here for one night. It is close to route 70 which was helpful. Although during the night we could hear the traffic. The space for each campsite is pretty decent, we managed to fit a tent and two hammocks. The campsites are quite close to eachother which didn't give us a lot of privacy. Everyone was very friendly and respectful of the spaces even though they were close. There were a lot of RV campers parked which during the night their air-conditioners could be heard. The bathrooms were clean and there are plenty of showers. For entertainment and kids there were many options. There was a playground for small kids as well as a large tube jungle which is accessable to both children and adults. They also have a life-sized chess board and pieces, a pool, frizbee golf net, a pond, and some other similar small playground items. The price was very reasonable as well, especially considering all the bonus activities available.
