Cooperstown Shadow Brook Campground Reviews
Just stayed there for 4 nights, "buddy" sites 20/21. Would give the park a solid 3 out of 5 - Meets Expectations. I have put on over 20k miles with my RV over the last 5 years, and have stayed at some pretty nice RV parks. This is not a true RV park but rather a family campground. No concrete pads, no cable, no wifi. Cellular service was good so you had a decent hot spot. Nice camp store, pool, and pond. Close to Cooperstown. People who own the place couldn't be nicer folks. Everyone who worked there was wonderful. Upkeep seemed to be mixed bag. Cabins seemed to be well maintained. My sites had at least a week's grass growth on them and so did other sites. The property struggled during moderate-heavy rain events. Much ponding that stuck around for a while. Have no clue how they got the review they did from Good Sam.
Jun 09, 2025 · JC JaccoWe stayed at the campground this past week for 2-3 days. It had rained like crazy a few days before our arrival so the place was very muddy. They showed us to our campsite which was really in rough condition and instead of offering another drier site, they kept us there. There was only one working shower for the entire campgrounds and it was old and in need of TLC (The other 3 showers were either locked or being renovated.) The water pressure was a trickle - very hard to shower with. The day before we left, the toilets near our campsite were locked and the sewage tank was uncovered-obviously a problem. Woke up the last morning there at 8:10am to the sewage truck outside our window, getting ready to pump the tank. The campgrounds never alerted us to the locked toilets or to the pumping. The people working were very nice but this isn't customer service as far as I see. We will not return to this campgrounds and won't recommend it either.
Jun 16, 2025 · Janet BoyerWe recently stayed 5 days at Shadow Brook. Very appealing to the eye when arriving. Staff at registration very welcoming and friendly throughout our stay. Bathrooms very clean, and grounds well maintained, and pool was open in September! We really enjoyed the halloween party with the DJ music and all our 'neighbors' were there and were great to hang out with! The haunted maze and the hay ride were fun, and we don't have kids or grandkids but we still participated in this!!:) Kudos to Ellen and Gary and staff, hope to see you again!
Sep 17, 2024 · JimGreat customer service. Did not deserve the ratings it received from Good Sam. The campground needs a major overhaul. No cable hook up. Very unkempt. Just not appealing and will not be back.
Jun 03, 2025 · Cheryl D'AndreaThe owners are the nicest people I've ever met! Super friendly, and very helpful! Would stay here in a heartbeat!
