★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1Colter bay was PERFECT for our first trip to the Tetons. Our site was near the lake so we could walk down during sunrise and sunset. The spots are well kept and the bathrooms were VERY nice for being camping bathrooms. each spot provides a bear box to store any food/drinks. The spots were also not too close to one another to where you felt like you were on top of other campers. Spread out enough to feel like we had our own space. I would highly highly recommend this spot & we will definitely be back
June 05 · Kyla PappWe really enjoyed our stay here. Staff rotates through regularly cleaning facilities. We had no issues with late night noise or rowdy neighbors. Close to the marina and marina activities. I highly recommend the dinner cruise during your stay. Motorized and non the motorized watercraft available for rent. Arrive early if intending to rent, especially during the busy season. On site, grocery was as one might expect, pricey.Bear box at campsite for all food and toiletries storage was easy to use.
June 27 · Marie ThorisHighly recommend staying if you are exploring the Tetons. Nicely spaced out campsites, we stayed in loop N and it was very quiet. Many amenities within the campground-small grocery store, showers ( $5 and sometimes a long wait , but worth it) . I personally thought Jackson lake was had better views than Jenny lake, recommend renting kayaks/boats.
July 05 · Lily BillsPros:-general store was huge with a grocery store! Although firewood isn't there. Only at the gas station.-Gas station was open relatively late-no generators-good amount of wifi availability at the stores-everyone was friendlyCons:-our bathroom lights did not work at night. It showed the bathrooms as being 'serviced' but that does not mean a decent cleaning. I think that just means restocking. I saw someone with a clipboard, the last day, coming through checking and after that the floors were mopped and things wiped haha.-firewood is about 17 freaking dollars! They didn't give us a receipt, but 2 things of firewood and a bear bell was 50 dollars. Bear bell was 10 bucks... buy wood in Jackson, it's only 5 bucks at Smith's.-also expect showers to be 5 bucks, pretty standard apparently-our campfire grate was rust welded together which was annoying. Conclusion:Overall for the price I paid a night, it was good. The campsites were good and level, table, etc. The amenities needed work, but for such a cheap site, right up next to Grand Teton, it's good enough.
June 11 · Leigha BlyAn outstanding campground considering its size of 350 sites. Each site is well laid out with decent greenery between sites. The general store is large, (no produce), they have showers with unlimited hot water, and a laundromat!
