Chippewa Landing Reviews
We only used the canoe renting and drop off services. The host was very responsive over the phone with availability, prices and guidance. When we got there the day of, he was very nice and friendly and helped us load one of our canoes to go with the one we were renting. Heads up with the weather and guidance was also appreciated! Fun 3 day trip we had
Jul 02, 2025 · William TurkovichI highly recommend the Missaukee Bridge to Chippewa Landing run. Very peaceful and scenic. We saw more wildlife on our trip than we did people. The team here is friendly and accommodating. I’ve never camped here but it looks like fun.
Aug 05, 2024 · Ryan FaubleI rented a kayak here for a multi-day trip, getting dropped off at CCC bridge. I would highly recommend Chippewa Landing if you are planning a similar trip. The price was super reasonable, a driver was available to take me out the day that I wanted, and the whole process was pretty quick and easy all things considered. The Manistee sure is a beautiful river
Oct 03, 2024 · Cameron FloydAn absolutely amazing experience. The staff at Chippewa Landing was on point, from start to the time I landed. They helped with my equipment and made the trip excellent. The views on the river were perfect! I highly recommend taking the time to drive and paddle down the river.
Jul 13, 2020 · Todd BenoitNice place. Campsites are spacious and well maintained. Very friendly and helpful staff. There is a little shop, but don't expect food or many supplies. Make sure you bring the supplies and food you need. I had my own kayaks, others in our group rented some. The rentals were a little older but well maintained. They loaded my personal kayak and gear along with the rentals and took us all to the drop off point. They did charge a fee to take my personal kayak. We chose to do the 65 River mile trip over a period of three days. We spent about 5 hours on the water all three days keeping a decent pace. Beautiful area, and abundant wildlife. If you do overnight trips, be prepared. Make sure everything is waterproof. If you're in a kayak your going to get wet. All in all, it was a blast, will definitely be making it a yearly trip!
