★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1The hosts were extremely helpful and did their job very well. Huge shoutout to the DNR maintenance crew for lending me Kevin. He was very helpful with assisting me in my time of need and explaining how everything worked at the park which was a lot more than I thought it was. Dee did an outstanding job, she was very attentive to the entire park from open to close, she paid attention to everything and anyone’s needs including my own. 10/10 would come back. I have zero complaints.
May 18 · JohnNice campground with friendly hosts. Really pretty local area. Great place to come if looking for a quick drive from the Chicago area.
May 25 · Karol ChmielThe hosts at this campground are so nice. They went out of their way to help us with water, gave me additional information and checked in on us throughout our stay. The sites had beautiful mature trees and level ground for setting up a tent. We had a great time biking the trail and enjoyed ice cream from a truck that visited the park. They only downsides were the pit toilets and the proximity to the road (heard road noise throughout the night). Typically I check this out ahead of time, since it bothers me, but I booked last minute and didn't. So, that's on me. Overall, we had a great time and I definitely recommend this park.
May 27 · M LanePrimitive but cozy! Beautiful mature trees, well maintained campground. Even though it's considered primitive, there is electricity! My sister and I had a nice relaxing time. You do have to bring your own firewood. Because it's primitive, there are no shower houses. However, the bathrooms were clean and equipped. We didn't have children with us, but it looked like the park consisted of just swings. The hosts were very nice!
October 16 · Debbie CherryChippewa Campground is officially closed so I don't know how many stars to give to it. Besides that, some parts of the Campground look really neat. This is partially because the grass is not mowed. It's lush, tall and still fresh.
