We have been planning this trip since January and it did not disappoint!!Our initial drive down to the campground had us a little worried as the roads are somewhat narrow (we were pulling a 24ft camper and our friends have a class A 37ft) but we made it!!Steve the owner was very nice in helping us get set up on our sites. Full hook up was awesome!!The campground itself is quiet. The only drawback I’d say is having to drive a distance for some of the things we did but the area is quite beautiful tucked into the Holsten Mountain. Another added bonus was the on site laundry which was nice.We drove to town one day and took a tour of the Rocky Mount Historical site lots of history and the tour was great. We hiked up Holsten Mountain right behind the campground and did a hike to Laurel Falls which was beautiful. Our last day we biked the Virginia Creeper trail from Alvarado to Abington. A must if you’re in the area!!Overall we had a wonderful time and hope to maybe return again in the fall when the colors are popping! One more thing we had dinner at Tennessee Hills Distillery another great place for BBQ, bourbon and great service! - JuJu411
