Cedar River Campground Reviews
All started ok. Until I drove my pickup through an unmarked golf cart only area. The owner was not so pleasant about it. As she was in her side by side. Not golf cart. Felt like I was being harassed as my grandsons was packing up our fishing gear. Because it was a must to get my truck out. We wasn't moving fast enough for her she come right back harassing us again. Not friendly at all. Will not be returning. Was wondering how I could rebuttal what she has said about my review everything she has said on her is not the truth campers and visitors beware she is not a nice lady
Jun 02, 2025 · Donald HenningsWe didn't know there would be a quarter mile of gravel to the campground with a steep hill down to our site. Bathrooms weren't cleaned-winter dirt on toilet seats in the permanent bathroom near the river with leaves blown in /neglected. Grass wasn't mowed. Full price even tho nothing was open. Mini golf had debris all over. The road was washed out near site c4, which was a pull through for our 65' motor home and towing a truck. We did have basic water, electricity & and sewer, but it was not worth the full price. If you have kids, this might be fun during the open season. People drove by on a golf cart but weren't friendly. If you are desperate for a night, a walmart parking lot would be better because of the highway noise. Amenities would get 5 stars if they were ready.
Apr 24, 2025 · S7Wa GIt is right by I-80. The traffic sounds are constant. There are shower facilities, they are nowhere near the campsites. The grounds seem to be well maintained and the sites are groomed. Checkin for late arrivals was easy (thankfully).
Jun 28, 2025 · Sarah CurryWhen I booked woman said there was access to fishing. The only trail to river says golf carts only, however a resident camper said they let trucks down to it all the time, so we drove down to fish. The man who runs the place saw us and went ballistic. I told him I couldn't walk that far as I am 72 w COPD. He just smirked and said "too bad for you" just like that. Every encounter with man from checking in to using their dump station received a nasty encounter. And the woman was no better lying about fishing....I was very disappointed because I'd seen this place off the highway I 80 and always wanted to stay. Never again and I cannot recommend.Just so you know, like the other guy who posted almost the exact same review as I did....they are rude and now she is lying. I never mentioned my scooter, I only ask about fishing, she did provide a map and told me exactly how to go through the gate. She never said a word about no trucks. The long time camper that I ask said they allow trucks back there all the time. Rude and dishonest. Stay at your own risk.
