What is worth choosing
Choosing CECO is a decision to prioritize a peaceful and family-focused camping trip. What makes this campground truly worth choosing is its ability to be a "favorite place" for families who visit. The emphasis on a clean, safe, and quiet environment is a significant draw, allowing campers to genuinely relax and enjoy their time outdoors. The dedicated efforts to maintain the grounds contribute to this positive experience, giving visitors a sense of security and comfort. The fact that it is a private recreational area adds a layer of exclusivity and helps to foster a sense of community among guests.
While some isolated negative reviews exist regarding management's relationship with young staff, it is crucial to consider the broader context. The overwhelming majority of camper reviews focus on the positive experience of the visitors themselves, praising the cleanliness, friendliness, and family-friendly atmosphere. This suggests that the issues raised are not directly related to the camping experience for paying guests, who consistently report a great time. The amenities provided, while not extensive, are exactly what a family needs for a comfortable stay: clean restrooms, on-site parking, and a welcoming environment for kids. Ceco Reviews
Do NOT let your kids work here. The verbal abuse from Bob and Frank is criminal. I personally tried to have a conversation with Frank regarding the kids and how they were being treated and he acted like it was all 18 lifeguards fault that they all quit. I pointed out specific times where the verbal abuse made a 15 year old girl leave crying and another who was looking for help have to quit mid shift. He called them all lazy kids that just don’t want to work. Funny since most had other jobs lifeguarding and refused to work at Ceco any longer. Frank then “hired” a 45 year old with no current lifeguard certificate to be a guard since she was a guard 20 years ago. Just beware letting kids work here, it’s not worth it
