While it has its distinct character, Caskeys Campground strives to provide a welcoming environment for both seasoned RVers and those embracing the simplicity of tent camping.
Caskeys Campground is known for being a "Kid-friendly Campground," a sentiment shared by many who are "enjoying our first year of camping here!" This indicates a focus on activities and an atmosphere conducive to families with children. The spirit of camaraderie among campers is often noted, with visitors remarking that "Everyone seems to be very nice and they're all very helpful!" This communal aspect can be a major draw for those looking for a friendly and supportive camping environment.
However, it's important for potential visitors to be aware of varied experiences. While some campers praise the friendly atmosphere and kid-focused environment, others have raised concerns about certain aspects of the campground's upkeep and interpersonal dynamics. One reviewer, for example, highlighted the positive aspect of their site location ("The only good thing about our stay was where our campsites were. They were by the swimming lake and in the back of the campground"), but expressed significant dissatisfaction with other elements, including the condition of facilities and interactions with staff and other campers. These contrasting perspectives are valuable for understanding the full picture of what Caskeys Campground offers to local Ohio users.

Once at the campground, the layout positions some sites, notably those by the "swimming lake and in the back of the campground," in desirable locations offering a pleasant environment. However, it's crucial for visitors to exercise caution regarding the physical environment. This suggests that while the location can be enjoyable, vigilance regarding surroundings is advisable.

- Kid-Friendly Environment: The campground is noted as "Kid-friendly," implying amenities or an atmosphere designed to cater to families with children.
- Pet-Friendly Policy: While pets are generally allowed, visitors should be aware of and adhere to leash laws, as highlighted by a negative experience where "some guy, who I'm sure is camping in an RV or camper, had his 2 dogs off their leashes and they were coming towards her and her dog like they were ready to attack and when she told him twice to get his dogs, he yelled at her and never apologized for having his dogs off their leashes and for being a jerk!" This underscores the importance of responsible pet ownership by all campers.
- On-site Management: The presence of an owner and staff means on-site management, though interactions can vary, as one reviewer noted the "owner is rude!"

- Community Vibe: For campers who appreciate social interaction and a friendly neighborhood feel, the reported helpfulness and kindness of fellow campers are significant highlights.

Caskeys Campground Reviews
Kid-friendly Campground enjoying our first year of camping here! Everyone seems to be very nice and they're all very helpful!
May 27, 2018 · augusta harveyThe only good thing about our stay was where our campsites were. They were by the swimming lake and in the back of the campground. Other than that, the owner is rude! The bathrooms and showers are absolutely disgusting! It's like if you are tent camping, you are constantly being watched by the people who are in the RVs and campers. It's like they are looking down on you because you are camping in a tent! Like they think they are better than you! On top of that, there are huge holes, alongside the swimming lake, that are not noticeable until either you are looking down while you're walking or you fall right into them and get seriously injured! Their website as no information about booking sites for tent camping. They also double booked one of our sites and it didn't matter to them whatsoever! We were lucky that there was another open one right next to the other site they gave us. Also, my sister in law was walking her dog on the back trails, on his leash, and some guy, who I'm sure is camping in an RV or camper, had his 2 dogs off their leashes and they were coming towards her and her dog like they were ready to attack and when she told him twice to get his dogs, he yelled at her and never apologized for having his dogs off their leashes and for being a jerk! I will definitely not recommend this campground to anyone! We will NEVER come back!
Jul 22, 2024 · Dawn VogtBeen going here for my family reunion since before I could walk! The tradition continues! This place remains the best!!More recently we have been coming for Dylan's Dash 5 K - I just heard about this last year and my daughter also has type 1 diabetes so we are so happy to be able to come out and support this cause!
Jul 23, 2024 · Laurie WI have been going to Caskeys since I was a kid. Great place. A little more lax than its ever been, but very welcoming.
Jan 27, 2019 · Holly VanceWe love caskeys. We buy a summer pass every year. Eric and Andrea are such great people. Prices are very reasonable. The red barn has snacks for the kids and they are under priced in my opinion. They also have one worker who’s very nice and helpful named Brooklyn. 11/10 stars. Dog friendly. On a leash. Clean bath house (for a camp site) play ground is clean and well maintained.
