The experience of camping can vary greatly, from rustic wilderness sites to full-service RV parks. As we delve deeper into what Camp Pedro offers, you'll gain a comprehensive understanding of why it has become a favored stop for many passing through or exploring the Hamer area of South Carolina.

Location and Accessibility

Camp Pedro is strategically located at 3346 US-301, Hamer, SC 29547, USA. This address places it within Dillon County, a part of the Pee Dee region of South Carolina. What truly sets Camp Pedro apart in terms of location is its exceptional accessibility, particularly for those traveling along one of the East Coast's major arteries.

The campground's direct proximity to Interstate 95 is a significant advantage. As a primary north-south corridor, I-95 facilitates immense travel throughout the Eastern United States. For travelers, including truckers, RV enthusiasts, and families on road trips, the ease of getting on and off the interstate is paramount. Camp Pedro’s location ensures minimal detours, making it an incredibly convenient stop for an overnight rest or a short stay. This "easy on, easy off" characteristic is consistently highlighted in visitor feedback, underscoring its practical appeal for those journeying through South Carolina.

While Hamer itself is a smaller community, its location along a major highway means that basic services are typically available nearby. This might include gas stations, convenience stores, and other travel-oriented businesses. For more extensive needs, larger towns in Dillon County or neighboring counties would be within a reasonable driving distance. However, for a quick and efficient stop, the immediate surroundings of Camp Pedro provide what's necessary.
