Camp Creekside Introduce
For those of us in Missouri who love to camp, finding a place that balances a peaceful, natural environment with essential comforts can be a real treasure hunt. Camp Creekside in Gravois Mills offers a unique and, for many, a very rewarding experience. Located near the stunning Lake of the Ozarks, this campground is a spot that elicits strong opinions from its visitors—both glowing praise for its friendly community and sharp criticism for its rustic state. This article will provide a clear and balanced overview of Camp Creekside, helping you make an informed decision for your next getaway. We'll explore its location, its services, and the key features that define a stay here, providing both the positive and negative details straight from real campers.
Camp Creekside is a place of contrasts, and its character is shaped by the experiences of its diverse visitors. As one motorcyclist from Canada and across the country noted, it was their favorite campground, praising its cleanliness, quietness, and the incredibly friendly and helpful people. The reasonable cost was also a major selling point. On the other hand, another reviewer described a much different scene, mentioning broken-down vehicles, trash, and a general lack of maintenance. The key takeaway from these differing views is that Camp Creekside is not a uniform, manicured resort. It's a more rustic, lived-in place with a strong sense of community among its residents and regulars. If you are a camper who values a welcoming, friendly atmosphere and a peaceful setting over polished, resort-style amenities, this could be the perfect spot for you. The site's character is defined by its real people and its authentic, natural state, and for many, that is exactly what makes it a "real treasure to find."
Camp Creekside is located at 101 Spring Branch Dr, Gravois Mills, MO 65037, USA. While the campground is in a rural setting, its proximity to the main Gravois Mills area means it is not completely isolated. However, campers should be prepared to bring most of their supplies, as there are no on-site stores or community rooms that are reliably open.

★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1I think this is OK place as long as you make an informed decision and know all the resources that are not here. When you check in, you’re greeted by a camp host whose area looks a lot like Sanford and Son. Thank goodness we were just here for a weekend. There is an old dilapidated bus broken down in the front of the campground and a trailer next to it that looks absolutely horrible and looks like it’s been there for 30 years. The shower houses are very nice however they were very cold in the morning People let their dogs run everywhere without leashes, and there’s lots of poop. We were actually scared to go for a walk because one of the campers had a pitbull that he did not put on a leash at all. Some of the people They live there were very nice however. There was lots of trash scattered around where we were camping and lots of metal junk I’m not sure we will probably be back as this is not really something I would recommend. There is no pool of any kind. There is no laundry of any kind. There is no community room or store that was ever open.. If all you’re looking for is a spot to stay the night this will probably work for you. Just be careful.
May 26 · Fairy PrincessGo here!!!!I’ve been to campgrounds on my motorcycle all over the county, and in Canada. Camp Creekside was my favorite!EVERYONE was so friendly and helpful. The place was clean, well kept & quiet. And the cost was very reasonable - something that is unheard of during a motorcycle rally anywhere else I’ve traveled. All and all Camp Creekside was a real treasure to find and I will definitely be back!!ps: Do NOT eat at the BBQ joint across the street…
September 22 · John SchmidtKim and Dean are so nice and welcoming. We enjoyed the quiet camp ground. The stream with all the ducks, fish, wildlife was so pretty. We will definitely be back.
June 23 · Dana PayneI was hesitant staying at a private campground based off of past experiences. upon Checking in KIM and Dean made me fell welcome in a way no other private campground has and then after other intreacions with the people around me i came to relise this place is awesome. If you need a campsite near verseles this is the place. also 5 star bathrooms!!!!!!!!!
June 07 · Kevin HakenewerthThis is an amazing RV Park. It sits right next to a natural spring fed creek, full of all kinds of fish and ducks. Great view of lake still, but enough away to not be bothered by lake traffic. Nice actual restrooms with waterfall showers. Not a pit toilet. Basic stores and very good restaurants within walking distance. As well as public access to lake right across the road.Edit: Was forced into first review just for discount. After almost a year here, I can say it is NOT worth it. Way better places cost less. Most people here are fake and try to start problems behind people's back. There's a man who isn't even an employee, who is actually friends with old owner, I'm pretty sure is trying to undermine the actual staff. ALOT of hidden racism. The few people who actually are nice stick to themselves. Kids enjoy it here. But only because they don't see these things in life yet. However I've even watched other people's kids be judged here. all in all, do research. There are way better places around the lake.
