Camp Almanor at Big Springs Reviews
We booked a cabin last minute for a quick getaway. The cabin was tiny, but it was clean, and equipped with everything you need for a short stay. Patty and Tom were so sweet, even invited me to join them for a visit while my husband was as napping! There was a lovely outdoor seating area with cornhole and picnic tables for a group to hang out and play. Definitely worth a visit!
Jun 08, 2025 · Carrie StephensHere’s a Wonderful stay with friends and family! The staff was extremely friendly and kind throughout our visit. We came with a group—our friends stayed in Cabin 11, which was a great fit for two people, while we stayed in Cabin 13 with our dog and two young kids. The cabin was definitely cozy, but it was also adorable, clean, and had a charming rustic vibe that we loved. While there’s no direct lake access from the cabin, the view was lovely, and it was just a short 7-minute drive to the dock where we rented a boat. The cabin had everything we needed for a comfortable stay as a family of four. We also enjoyed using the shared common area for s’mores and a fun game of cornhole in the evening. Would definitely recommend!

The camp host Patty was very knowledgeable of the area and guided us to a great dinner and told us where the secret beach is.
