Washington State offers a wide array of camping and RV park experiences, from pristine state parks to private resorts. When considering a specific location, especially for extended stays, factors beyond just the address become critical. The environment, community, and management quality profoundly impact the overall experience. While the idea of a simple, affordable RV spot in Eastern Washington might seem appealing, it's essential to look closely at the details, particularly when public feedback points to significant concerns.
Our goal here is to present the provided information about Calispel Creek RV Court objectively, allowing you to weigh the potential benefits against the challenges highlighted by previous customers. This content will not shy away from the direct observations made in reviews, as transparency is key when choosing a place that will be your temporary home. We encourage all Washingtonians to prioritize their comfort, safety, and well-being when selecting an RV park.
Calispel Creek RV Court is situated at 217 Calispel St, Cusick, WA 99119, USA. Cusick is a small town located in Pend Oreille County in northeastern Washington. This region is known for its natural beauty, including the Pend Oreille River, forests, and various outdoor recreational opportunities. The town of Cusick itself is part of the larger Kalispel Indian Reservation area, which has developed amenities like the Kalispel Casino and RV Resort nearby.
The address places the RV court within the established boundaries of Cusick, suggesting local access to any available town services, such as a post office or small shops, though the provided reviews cast a different light on the overall "neighborhood" and "town" environment. While located off a main road (Calispel Street), indicating straightforward vehicular access, the surrounding conditions are described in customer feedback as a "crappy neighborhood" and a "crappy town."
Geographically, Cusick is positioned in an area that allows access to the larger recreational offerings of Pend Oreille County, including the Pend Oreille River for water activities, and nearby state and national forests for hiking and exploring. However, the accessibility described in the reviews points more towards the immediate vicinity of the RV court rather than the broader regional attractions. These direct accounts describe the local environment as potentially challenging, with references to an "unhealthy environment" and issues within the immediate neighborhood. For locals considering this location, understanding that the general setting and atmosphere of the town and surrounding area, as perceived by some, may impact their stay is crucial.
Based on general expectations for an RV court and limited public information, as well as considering the direct nature of the customer reviews, Calispel Creek RV Court would typically offer basic RV park services. Public records from a Hipcamp listing (which states "Coming soon to Hipcamp. Contact this campground for pricing and availability. Visit website.") provide some insights into what the property intends to offer or potentially already provides.
- RV Hookups: Generally, an RV court implies the provision of essential hookups. The Hipcamp listing indicates "convenient electricity hookups, fresh water access, and efficient sewer and dumping facilities." These are standard for RV parks and would be expected to be available at the sites.
- Trash Disposal: The Hipcamp listing mentions "trash disposal service," which is a fundamental amenity for any campground or RV park.
- Basic Site Provision: RV sites would be available for parking recreational vehicles, and potentially for long-term stays as implied by one review mentioning "seasonal campers" at a similar type of local resort.
However, it is crucial to note that the provided customer reviews do not focus on the positive aspects of services but rather highlight severe deficiencies in maintenance and management that would directly impact the quality and usability of these services. For instance, the presence of "trash everywhere" would directly contradict the effectiveness of a "trash disposal service" if it is not properly managed. Similarly, unkept landscaping, "old broken down trailers and motorhomes," and "tarps everywhere" suggest a significant lack of maintenance that would detract from the overall quality of any provided hookups or site.
The provided customer reviews highlight significant concerns regarding the environment and management of Calispel Creek RV Court, rather than traditional positive "features" or "highlights." For the purpose of providing factual information to local users in Washington, these points are presented as critical aspects of the property's current state, based directly on the given feedback.
- Significant Maintenance Deficiencies: Reviews consistently point to severe neglect of the property. This includes "trash everywhere," "old broken down trailers and motorhomes," and "unkempt landscaping" with "tarps everywhere." This suggests a general lack of upkeep that directly impacts the visual appeal and living conditions of the RV court.
- Issues with Pet Management: There are explicit concerns about "biting/barking unleashed dogs" and "dog mess everywhere" due to the manager reportedly not enforcing "pet potty rules" and dogs "running off leashes." This creates a potentially unsafe and unsanitary environment for residents and their pets.
- Negative Environment and Community Concerns: Multiple reviewers describe the overall environment as "unhealthy," "infest with drug and substance abuse, and mental illness." Terms like "Crappy neighborhood. Crappy town. Tweakers everywhere. So sad." are used to describe the surrounding area, indicating serious social issues that impact the perceived safety and quality of life.
- Managerial Concerns: The manager is specifically criticized for being "not capable or will not enforce even pet potty rules" and for not remembering "what she says one minute to the next." More gravely, there's an accusation of the manager being "NOT A BATTERED WOMENS ADVOCATE AND TAKES ADVANTAGE OF UNEDUCATED/VULNERABLE PEOPLE asking them TO DO ILLEGAL THINGS LIKE BREAK INTO HOUSES. Yup no lie. Pend orielle county is lawless." These are extremely serious allegations that speak to significant issues with the on-site management and safety.
- Lack of Level Sites: While not a direct highlight, the implication of "sleeping at a slant sucks" from a review of a different campground, when applied to a property described as "unkempt," suggests that site leveling might also be an issue if general maintenance is poor.
- Potential (Unrealized) for Amenities: One external source (Hipcamp) mentions the property having "great potential" and being a "hidden gem" with "pristine environment and serene atmosphere." However, this appears to be a promotional description of what *could* be, rather than what is currently experienced by residents, as contradicted by the direct customer reviews provided. It also mentions "nearby swimming holes, hiking trails, and local attractions," but the immediate environment within the RV court itself appears to overshadow these potential benefits.
Given the strong negative sentiment and serious allegations in the provided reviews, it is clear that the actual "features" of Calispel Creek RV Court, from a customer perspective, lean heavily towards significant areas of concern rather than positive highlights.

Given the severe nature of the issues highlighted in customer reviews, any direct contact with Calispel Creek RV Court should be approached with caution and careful consideration of the feedback provided. It is always advisable for individuals to conduct thorough due diligence, including potentially visiting the site in person before committing to a stay, especially if considering a long-term arrangement. For broader information about safety and local community resources in Pend Oreille County, local law enforcement or social services may be more appropriate points of contact.
Based on the provided customer reviews, Calispel Creek RV Court, as described by past occupants, presents significant challenges that make it unsuitable for most Washington locals seeking a safe, clean, and healthy environment for an RV stay. The overwhelming sentiment from direct feedback points to a property with severe maintenance issues, including "trash everywhere," "old broken down trailers and motorhomes," and "unkempt landscaping." These physical conditions directly impact the quality of life and visual appeal for residents.
Furthermore, the reviews raise serious concerns about the social environment, describing it as an "unhealthy environment for any child of any age," "infested with drug and substance abuse, and mental illness," and a "crappy neighborhood" with "tweakers everywhere." The issues extend to pet management, with "biting/barking unleashed dogs" and "dog mess everywhere" due to a reported lack of enforcement by the manager. Most disturbingly, there are grave allegations against the manager involving unethical and potentially illegal activities, which creates a deeply unsettling and unsafe atmosphere.
While an external promotional description speaks of "great potential" and a "pristine environment," this directly contradicts the lived experiences shared by multiple reviewers. For Washington locals, who often prioritize safety, cleanliness, and a welcoming community when choosing an RV park, the prevailing information about Calispel Creek RV Court should serve as a stark warning. The issues described far outweigh any potential benefits of its basic RV hookups or location near natural areas.
In summary, based purely on the provided customer feedback, Calispel Creek RV Court is presented as an environment that is currently unsuitable for individuals or families seeking a positive and secure RV living experience in Washington. Locals considering this location should exercise extreme caution and verify current conditions thoroughly before making any commitments. Your well-being and safety should be the top priority when selecting any accommodation.

May 01, 2024 · Jim ColeThis place is a very unhealthy environment for any child of any age. Anyone denying this is lying to themselves. This place is infested with drug and substance abuse, and mental illness. The manager is not capable or will not enforce even pet potty rules so there's dog mess everywhere and dogs running off leashes. (Large dogs /pit bull mixes ) manager doesn't remember what she says one minute to the next and IS NOT A BATTERED WOMENS ADVOCATE AND TAKES ADVANTAGE OF UNEDUCATED/VULNERABLE PEOPLE asking them TO DO ILLEGAL THINGS LIKE BREAK INTO HOUSES. Yup no lie. Pend orielle county is lawless. You have now been warned.
