★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1Beautiful campground. Right next to the beach (have to take stairs up and down to beach but worth it), has a playground, ice, firewood, showers, clean bathrooms, staff is super friendly and campers are nice as well. They offer nightly stays as well as longer stays (need to be booked in advance for long stays). They have power/RV sites for $40 and tent/no power for $35. Definitely worth it. This is a beautiful hidden gem.
June 26 · Daniel ButterworthBest camping I’ve been to so far in MI. The beach is breathtaking, the campground very clean. There was a lot of harbor noise at night but nothing too bad. Restrooms are clean. There is about 80 steps to get down to the beach so it’s a workout to get back up but so worth it.
September 29 · Erica MahnsOne of the best campgrounds. The view is great, good friendly campers, good hot showers, bathrooms are clean and big free, great beach, almost private, with shallow waters for young ones and non swimmers to get in and enjoy. We enjoy the long walk to the light house. Not too far from town, and there was an ice cream vendor. Also the camp host passed out home made donuts when we were there. Sunsets are great and we watched July 4th fireworks 🎆 from the best seats in Ludington
July 08 · Max SeenisamyThis campground is awesome. Can’t wait to come back next year. The beach is beautiful, easy to navigate, great staff, I had a great time with my 9 year old daughter.
July 17 · Keith GillrieI have stayed at this campground a few times with my most recent stay starting the last week of June. It is a beautiful campground with stunning views of Lake Michigan. The campground sits on a Bluff overlooking the lake and some of the sites offer sunset views. The beach is wonderful with lots of sand and shallow water. There are also plenty of rocks a bit further down the beach. There Are steps down to the beach – 80 steps down and 80 steps back up to the campsite. The campsite added a beach shower area to rinse off sand, which is a nice addition. The staff is wonderful and helpful. Wi-Fi can be iffy. The children spend hours on the playground equipment. It’s a really nice area. There is a nearby lighthouse within walking distance and The Badger regularly can be seen departing from Ludington to go to WI. Ludington also offers so much - shopping, a speciality meat shop, a cute market shop, pickleball courts, lots of wildlife.I was surprised that the bathrooms and showers were so unkempt. I expected them to look like they had been freshly painted and thoroughly cleaned for the opening of the 2025 season and that was just not the case. There are not enough showers or bathrooms to accommodate so many campers, and they are disgustingly much of the time.
