Buck Hill Campground Reviews
We stayed at this very nice campground in August 2024 and already have reservations to return in September. My wife and I have been camping for 42 years and this is our very favorite campground we have ever stayed in. We stayed on a campsite on the river that had a private deck overlooking the river. The seasonal residents we met were very friendly and welcomed us to join them in an evening of karaoke. The only complaint I have is that the tree shading our site was dropping acorns or nuts on the camper during the night, and each time it came with a bit of a bang overhead. Otherwise, I could not give this campground a higher rating. The bathrooms are as nice as those in our home and very clean. The laundry room was exceptional. And to make things even better, they offer a military discount for veterans.
Aug 27, 2024 · Emery MidyetteMe and my son and his friend came up for 4 days before school started Monday. First time coming to buck hill campground this place is amazing. The people that are on permanent sites were so friendly and welcomed you in like family. The campground itself was so clean and well taken care of. The bathhouses were the nicest I have ever seen. The game room is very nice a lot of games to play. The fishing is fun in the pond or the river a lot to catch. They had a bunch of people singing and having fun every night at the club house. On to the owners. They go above and beyond for the campground and every camper there. They were down eating dinner with everyone and just hanging out and having fun. Very nice family. They even had movie night on Friday. The entire weekend was just amazing and can’t wait to go back. 10 stars in my opinion
Aug 11, 2024 · Logan MatchenCame up here for 3 days with my son and his friend before they start school. And it was amazing. Start with the property is very well taken care of and bathhouses that are newly redone. Great family owned business. And the entire family lives on property and they are all involved in the upkeep of this property. The site I had was amazing across from the bath house every night a bunch of the yearly members were hanging out and singing and having a great time. The video game room was awsome a lot of games to play. Then to the fishing nice size pond and we caught a good amount of fish. And still had the river to fish in and caught a ton there also. The owners spent a lot of time hanging out eating dinner and just having a good time with everyone. I give this place 50 stars. I already booked next July 4 there and will definitely be back before then. Much love to the the buck hill campground.
Aug 12, 2024 · Rob MatchenMy family has nothing but positive things to say about Buck Hill Campground. The campus is clean, quiet, and friendly. The Caudles really take pride in their ownership and you can tell it is well reciprocated by the guests. We stayed in the premium cabin and it fit three generations (two kids and four adults) very nicely. Everything in the cabin was clean and in good working order. The camp ground felt very safe and everyone we interacted with was very friendly. My husband had a great time taking our two girls on a hike up to the top lookout point. He said it was pretty steep and difficult at times, but he said it was a wonderful life lesson for our 8 year old who said the view was well worth it. We have recommended it to our friends and hope to be back again in the future.
Jun 24, 2024 · Staycie KirkendallMy husband and I had the opportunity to stay at Buck Hill campground in one of the tiny cabins for a veteran charity fly fishing trip. There are SO many amazing things I can say about this campground. First off, the customer service was extraordinary. Chris and the owners made sure we had everything we needed and that our experience was great. They took time to chat with us and we even booked a summer trip there this year so we can take the kids. The camp ground is on the North Toe river and if you’re a fly fisherman, this is an amazing place to be! My husband and I averaged about 100 trout over 3 days, some stock and some native/wild. It was a great time. They were very dog friendly and our service dog had an absolute blast! There’s an arcade, pickleball court, playground, pond (with plenty of fish), and other amenities on site which is amazing for kids! The cabins were beautiful and we look forward to staying there again very soon. Additionally, they give a military discount and took care of our veteran group during the trip. Again, this place is amazing!
