Barnegat is a historic township nestled along Barnegat Bay, providing a gateway to the famous Long Beach Island (LBI) and the extensive protected lands of the Pine Barrens. It offers the chance to enjoy the serene beauty of the Barnegat area, with its unique blend of bay, forest, and proximity to the Atlantic Ocean, all within a reasonable driving distance for most locals.
Brookville Campgrounds, as a seasonal camping destination, offers a focused set of services designed to support long-term residents in a natural setting.
- Seasonal Campsites: The primary service is providing dedicated sites for seasonal campers. This allows individuals and families to establish a semi-permanent base for their RVs or trailers, avoiding the need to set up and break down camp repeatedly. This fosters a sense of community and familiarity.
- Clean Restrooms: Campers consistently highlight the cleanliness of the restrooms, which is a crucial amenity for comfortable camping, especially in a more natural setting.
- Swimming Pool: A well-maintained swimming pool is available for residents, offering a refreshing way to relax and cool off, particularly during the warmer months. The pool is noted by campers for being clean.
- Water Hookups: Essential for longer stays, sites are typically equipped with water hookups, providing convenient access to potable water directly at the campsite.
- Electric Hookups: While the camping is described as "back to nature," most seasonal sites would include electric hookups to power RVs and essential appliances, enhancing comfort for extended stays.
- Sewer Hookups: To support long-term residency and maintain sanitation, it is highly probable that seasonal sites offer sewer hookups, allowing for direct waste disposal from RVs.
- On-site Management/Owner Presence: The presence of an owner ("Thea is great") indicates that there is direct management on-site, which can be beneficial for addressing concerns and fostering community, though experiences may vary.
- Community Atmosphere: While not a tangible service, the development of a friendly community among campers ("The other campers we met are friendly") is a significant offering facilitated by the seasonal model.
It is important for prospective campers to directly inquire about the specific amenities available at individual sites and any associated rules or fees. The focus on seasonal camping means services are geared towards facilitating comfortable, extended stays rather than brief recreational visits.

Instead, the core "offer" at Brookville Campgrounds is the value of its seasonal rate itself. Seasonal camping provides a significant cost-saving over booking individual weekends throughout the year, offering a more affordable way for dedicated campers to enjoy continuous access to their site for an entire season (often from spring to fall). This long-term commitment allows campers to personalize their site and fully immerse themselves in the campground's community and natural surroundings without the hassle of repeated packing and unpacking.
Any specific terms, incentives for new seasonal campers, or details about the seasonal rental period would be best obtained by directly contacting the campground. The provided customer reviews indicate a loyal base of seasonal patrons, suggesting that the established seasonal rate and the long-term benefits of a consistent site are the primary attractions rather than short-term promotional discounts. Prospective seasonal campers should inquire about the full scope of what the seasonal rate includes, such as utility hookups and access to amenities, to fully understand the value proposition.

Aug 30, 2024 · Barbi FotiUpdate. Be very very wary and remember if she talks about other guests to you, she will talk about you too. ...count on it. And I am glad to be free.So done with this place and the owner. She is unkind and rude. All she cares about is herself. She gets drunk a lot . She will not listen. She calls you names and yells at you in front of everyone in the campground. They all know your business but not the real truth just what she wants them to know about you. She has lost many seasonal patrons over the last few years. Including me. I love that place but I will never ever go back there.
Aug 14, 2022 · SunflowerWe have been going there for the last 8 years, quite and relaxing.
Jul 15, 2022 · william meckesthis year 2022 was our first seasonal year at brookville. we had to move from previous campgrounds due to being sold and Tesa the owner took us in. we love it here quiet and to star gaze is awesome. if you want to do anything to your lot you must ask Tesa owner as there are limits as to what can be done. so far everytime we have asked and gave her info as to what we want done we have had no issues with owner. we are hoping to be here for a long time to come.
Sep 09, 2022 · Carl LuksicBeautiful location but absolutely horrible owner. Loses your check...or you pay her cash and she conveniently 'forgets' you paid her. Accuses you of ripping her off when she cannot keep her payment records straight...can't do basic math. Confronts campers on a daily basis about...fill in the blank____. In the last two months, several campers have hooked up and pulled out rather than deal with her. She is confrontational (and usually she is wrong) and plain crazy. Beware.
