Brasswire Campground Reviews
We normally stay in more wooded campgrounds - in spite of the lack of wooded sites, we were pleasantly surprised by the campground. Very nice fire pits & new picnic table. Campground was very quiet & conveniently located. Love the variety of trails nearby. Easy online registration process. Would stay again.
Aug 18, 2024 · nic SI stayed here in September 2023 for a weekend. The campground is very open but some sites have nice trees. I booked site #37 which had a lot of nice trees for a little more privacy. The vault toilets were a short walk away and were super clean – the floors were spotless and there was no smell at all.The rock pad was perfectly level, I backed right in and didn't have to adjust at all.The campground was very quiet on my first night. However, the Marji Gesick bike race was going on one of the nights (the race trail goes right through the campground) so there was a big tailgating audience with music and cow bells making noise all day. Luckily, they quieted down/left in the evening. It's a short drive to downtown Ishpeming - I took the backroads into town which was very convenient.I had pretty consistent 2-3 bars of service (Visible/Verizon). Overall, I was happy with my stay and would book again on a weekend with no bike races happening.

Jun 11, 2025 · Gabrielle PontonA nice new campground! Clean bathroom, nice campsites, a perfect place for us to stop for a night! Would return.
Aug 03, 2024 · Isabelle KornelisHad no idea where we were staying for the night and found this place quick on Google maps. Pulled in and was a little confused because there was no office but that's what we get for not looking at websites. We drove around and found a nice spot #20 with (I believe) hammock poles. Went online and booked the site. Only a few other people in the entire campground. Bathrooms are clean and don't smell bad at all. They are vault kind. Very nice for a newer rustic campground.
